Ultra Stable Platform
This tripod is ultra stable as it should be - given it weighs 9 lbs. 3 section legs range from 37-72 in high. Fluid head makes micro adjustments for scope or camera very smooth and accurate. I can ues this tripod sitting on the ground, in a camp chair, or standing up. Tripod includes plastic clips to keep the legs together when storing it in the carry bag. Carry bag is well built to handle the weight and zippers are HD and smooth. Metal attachment plate is tongue and grooved for secure attachment of your device and has no slop when locked in. Locking arm is also metal. Metal panning arm has adjustable length. Panning handle, tightening allen wrenches, and instructions are hidden in the internal zippered compartment.I use this with a 20-60x80 spotting scope for wildlife viewing. It gives me good stability during wind gusts. 9 lbs is a lot to carry any distance, but the stability and durability make it worth the weight.

Great Tripod!
This is a nice tripod. Easy to set up, sturdy (even under heavy camera weight), light, and durable. What more could you ask of a tripod?

Holds Astro Binos
I've been looking for a heavy duty tripod that could hold my big huge heavy astronomy binoculars for a while and it seemed like every tripod i tried just couldn't hold them. I got these as a last minute attempt so I could take them out to a star party and try it out. These came the next day from when I ordered them and they actually hold my binos! I have the Celestron Skymaster 20x80 binos which granted are not the largest or the heaviest on market but they are too much for the cheaper tripods. This tripod does not have a ball head and will turn up and down and 360 degrees around which is just good enough for what I need. I didn't need a ball head for these, it just would have been a nice feature. This thing is also huge, way bigger than I thought it would be! Not a bad thing, but something to consider if you're going to be lugging it around or have to hike with it or have a lot of stuff in your car. It's not as big as an Heq6 or an eq5 or nearly as heavy as either but it's still big enough that you need to accommodate it no matter what you're packing and how. The bag it comes in has multiple pockets and one of the handles is in the zip pocket on the inside. The pockets are big enough that I was able to put a multi tool, headlamp, small flashlight, and a compass in it with some room to spare. Not a lot of room, but I could stick one more small item in there. The quick release was a nice touch but you have to be careful how you put it back in because it will only go in one exact way and if you're setting up in the dark or otherwise messing with it in the dark it might take a second to get it just right.

Did even get the chance to use it... can't return it.
My tripod of 2 decades finally fell apart and I was excited by how sturdy this looked. Unfortunately the first time I took it out one of the leg locks broke. I swapped it for a new one, stupidly I didn't test it out, I just held on to it until I need it. Then when I took it out to use for the first time the same thing happened. The screw in the leg lock would keep popping out. Coman sent me new screws but it will not lock and they won't refund it because it's been too long. TWO had the exact same problem. Never even got to use it. Don't buy.EDIT: They sent me new screws but no instructions on how to use them. I had to take apart another lock to figure out what the problem was. We'll see if it lasts but try contacting them if you had this problem. A free screw may just be a bandaid but it'll save you buying a whole new tripod in a pinch.
