It’s just a portable CD I’ve been looking for…
I’ve been searching for a CD with BT transmitter for a couple of years now so that I can listen to my old CD/MP3 mixes I made back in the 90’s with my Tucson 2022. FINALLY!!! I found the portable CD I’ve been looking for. This unit is not perfect by any means and be aware that the informations such as artists, song titles and albums on your car stereo screen may not show up. But the key here is to be able to listen to music via BT rather than through FM station. I am not a fan of FM transmitter since it’s unreliable at times. This unit also capable of using FM transmitter but I didn’t even bother to verify that. I am sure it works just as good.. With that being said, the manufacturer stated that this is not compatible with every vehicle with BT.

I’ve been looking more and more into older tech lately. I still own hundreds of CDs that I can’t play because my car has no CD player and I no longer have a stereo. This seemed to be an interesting fit, and I absolutely love it.My first impression of this was “whoa, this is HEAVY”. It became clear that much of the weight was the rechargeable battery. I was able to play it via Bluetooth for six straight hours (yes, I really put a CD on repeat and played it for six hours!).Now, I’ve owned quite a few CD players. This SHOULD be pretty straight forward. The controls are very similar to any other CD player (play, pause, rewind, forward). There are a few buttons added for things like Mode, FM (yes, it also has an FM tuner) and a Bluetooth button.If you just want to play a CD, this is very simple. It’s when you move into other modes that it can be a little … complicated.The Bluetooth function does work well. However, with no real direction button, you do have to sort of figure out how to get it to connect. Hitting the Bluetooth menu will bring up any available options, but getting to the one you want will take some trial and error. To be honest, I connected it to an old Bluetooth speaker and I’m not sure I could do it again.The FM tuner is adequate. Not great, not awful, but if you’re in an area with good reception, it works just fine. The buttons are fairly well marked for the FM function.The kit also includes a wired pair of headphones - just in case you want to go completely old school (or don’t have a pair of Bluetooth headphones or speaker handy).All this is to say once it’s connected, it’s GREAT. I can’t wait to break out the old “Killer Jamz” mix CDs.
