Linkin Park is BACK!
This album is chock full of bangers. I think we all knew that they had a chance to return to greatness from the initial release of "The Emptiness Machine," followed by "Heavy is the Crown" and then finally "Over Each Other." Those three songs are phenomenal songs. However, I think my favorite from the album is between "Overflow" and "Stained," neither of which were released by themselves before the album released globally. The album is a complete package that I haven't stopped listening to since it released. Linkin Park is back. Emily Armstrong matches their old sound and can belt it out just like Chester Bennington did. Rejoice! The glory days of Hybrid Theory and Meteora have returned.

A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE
I probably haven't been as apprehensive on buying a record since Sammy Hagar replaced David Lee Roth. Chester Bennington to me is one of the best American vocalists ever. But Emily Armstrong does NOT disappoint! Great choice. A female was the logical segue (no male has CB's range), and she makes the most of it. The album is kind of a hybrid between LIVING THINGS and HUNTING PARTY, with its share of rockers (the even #ed songs) and the more poignant odd #ed songs. Emily's highlights are "Stained" and "Over Each Other." The best rocking songs are "Casualty", "Heavy is the Crown", and "The Emptiness Machine". And most of all, she can scream like CB!! That was my biggest concern. Can't wait to see their playlist on this tour, because there's no song she can't do. LP should put out a live album after the tour, especially for those who can't pay the $150 ticket price (and that's the average!). Good album. Not five star, but solid effort.

An impressive comeback
After 7 years and the tragic death of Chester Bennington most people (myself included) thought that we’d never hear or see Linkin Park again. But this new album has all the elements of what has always made the band great.Emily can never replace Chester (and she’s not trying to) but she’s doing an amazing job of honoring what was, while also bringing her own style into it.Overflow is my personal favorite track on the album.
