Great RV freezer ice trays
Perfect for smaller RV freezer. The counter ice maker is too hot in the RV and takes up too much room. These are super easy to use and each one gives a full glass of ice so perfect for 2 people. Just pull it apart to dump out the full sized ice cubes from the end and voila! Works great and seems to be super well made and tough.

Allow me to save you some time. Buy them, but only after reading my review.
Our family has tried several type of ice cube tray looking for that perfect tray, and finally, we settled on these. It has not been a perfect ride. It took a little while to figure how they could be easier to use. My wife and kids have had difficulty getting them open. After she broke the handle on two different trays, I watched how she opened them. She was not making sure the lid stayed clear from the opening. If the lid was just a little close, it would cause her great strain, and broken handles. I guarantee you, others here complaining about them breaking have done this. You must turn the lid 180° the other direction before trying to fully open the tray. Here's my process to fill them:1. Fill the tray directly at the bottom of the top row of cubes. Ignore the fill line! Trust me, it makes all the difference. If you fill it past the point I recommend, the cubes are much more difficult to break up. Stand the tray on its end and fill it exactly between the 1st and 2nd row of cubes. 2. You don't have to wipe off the excess water before putting the tray in the refrigerator, but I don't like random ice bits all over the other items in the freezer. My process for retrieving ice:1. Lay the tray flat on a hard surface and place the palm of your hand (or your elbow if you prefer) in the middle of the tray and give a quick, hard shove. You should start to hear the ice breaking up. 2. Flip the tray over and repeat step one, then flip and repeat one last time. No more crushing has ever been needed.3. Pick up your ice tray and open the top. Spin the top 180°. Don't get lazy! Spin it 180° 4. Firmly slip 3 fingers from each hand through the ice tray grips on each side with the top on the other side of the ice tray, away from your body. This uses gravity to keep the top even less likely to accidentally fall back on the opening, creating suction as you're trying to spead the ice tray. The top falling back on the opening while spreading the tray is what breaks the handles. 5. Now that the tray is spread apart, close the top, shake vigorously while putting your other hand over the top (sometimes the top will accidentally open while shaking the tray and start throwing ice all over your kitchen). This might seem like a pita, but it's not once you do it a couple times. We have 8 of these for over a year. Once everyone in the family started using these instructions, the handles stopped breaking. It has been well over a year now. These trays went from a 3 star to a solid 5 star once I figured out these little changes. They are the best ones I've ever used. Best of luck.

Great ice cube maker UPDATED 10/29/2022
I needed a tray that was compact and could fit in my almost-always-full-freezer and this certainly met those expectations. The plus was that I was able to make a small 1qt bag of ice in about a day (refilled and made ice 3x) The only con is that it is virtually impossible to see the fill line and the cubes are really small . The entire item is opaque! There is a marker for the fill line on the outside and where it meets on the inside. You can't see the water line from the outside and the hole is so small you can't really see if it's goes past the enclosure which stops right about how deep the lid goes in. (There is a connection inside from where the bottle meets the sides when collapsed)Overall, it is convenient for making ice and it worked really well standing up. I wish it made 24 ct or even 27 ct because the cubes are small.I didn't take it apart to clean. I just put soapy water inside and shook it very well and rinsed, so I can't comment on it if it leaks when taken apart and put back together. It is expensive for an ice tray but IMHO worth the price as a space saver. This tray is sturdy and built well. It took mashing it to loosen the ice cubes without discoloring or cracking. I will see if this hold up over time. Summer will be the real test as I will probably make about 4 bags to keep on hand. Will post an update review.UPDATE : 10/28/2022Haven't had any issues with this ice tray maker. I have made a ton of ice all summer and tray is still holding up and hasn't cracked. I have no idea why so many purchasers are having bad experiences using this tray. I do still stress-DO NOT DISMANTLE EVER. I have never took it apart and only clean it with hot soapy water and several rinses. I also place container on a towel and let it sit for about 3 minutes after I take it out the freezer before crushing and removing ice. But I do that with regular ice trays as well so I always have all the cubes pop out and the tray not crack. I filled it up (I did figure out how to tell when it's full since there is no outside indicator of a fill line) and set it upright in my freezer to set. It has never leaked and it has no exterior integrity issues. I'm buying another one since it's $15 bucks now. I will update again in the near future to let you know how it holds up. I purchased the water version. I still stand by my first review. This is a well made ice tray.

Love, love, love!!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love these ice trays! I do not use my ice maker in my freezer. The ice absorbs the smells from the fridge and makes it taste terrible. I’ve tried different enclosed ice trays and these are by far the easiest and best to use! Anytime I make a drink, I want it filled to the top with ice, so being able to make ice quickly and easily is great!!

Ehhh...
Pros:They look cool. They make ice.Cons:It's a little hard to get the ice out of the hole.On the 2nd use, I noticed some leakage even though I hadn't taken them apart at all.Probably wouldn't recommend.

Make sure to open the top when breaking up your ice!
Love this product! I bought a previous version of this ice tray and there were a number of issues that have all now been corrected with the new versions. Old trays were hard to fill because they weren't translucent. They also were prone to leaks if placed on their side. The new versions are much easier to fill and have a nice tight seal. They are a bit pricey, but worth it.Just remember to open the top before attempting to break the ice loose! I've seen reviews where people broke off the handles by failing to do this, even though the instructions are pretty clear on this point
