McGuinness Superman
McFarlane Toys has made a lot of Superman's to date, but I love when they get into more artist specific figures like this. This figure is based off of the Ed McGuinness Superman from the Our Worlds At War storyline in the early 2000s, and was the Superman I grew up with as I got into comics a bit more heavily at this time. I have always loved his take on Superman so this figure was a must get. Nostalgia goggles aside, the figure is still solid, he's a beefy figure that has a nice heft to it, and the joints all move as well as they are meant to. The ab crunch is like most McFarlane toys, there but not as effective as it could be. The head sculpt will probably divide people but it's really solid for the art it's based on, and way better than their attempt at the Frank Miller one from one of the last uses of this body mold. To date I feel this is the best use of this buck, and if you're into that era of Superman, or just like your Superman figures bulky, I would absolutely recommend this one.
