Perfect practice tool
Any drummer worth his/her salt has a practice pad. This is the best one I've tried. Remo quality ensures a good playing surface, with fully adjustable tension to give the desired response. An outstanding bit of kit to keep up your basics on, and at a good price too. So grab a pair of Vic Firth's and the Remo pad, and off you go!

Excellent Practice Pad
Excellent Practice Pad - head and shoulders above the standard rubber pads. Genuine feel to the batter head.

A little noisy.
Parcel arrived a day before due date, which was good, no problems. The pad is a more noisy than I was expecting, expecting something more like an electronic pad. Gives a good bounce, similar to a real drum set. Pad can mount on to any 6mm thread.

Realistic feel and response
Great practice pad, plays as you’d expect with a realistic feel and response.

Far the best to practice.
We have more type of practice pads (rubber, canvas covered) but this is far the best. It imitates the closest to the real drum surface and at least it has a small sound (higher from the edge to lower into the mid section). The frame is also good for imitating the real drum environment.

Not recommended.
The sound on this pad is way too loud! But it does give good bounce reaction …butnot the same as a snare drum, as some other reviewers would suggest. .I had one of these back in the 70’s that was constructed of metal…this has been replaced by plastic and this is where it all falls flat, even the sound and feel isn’t the same.
