In winter, we get frequent wind gusts.So in order to cut down on the wind coming from the east side, we built a frame around the greenhouse panel; plus we were taking care of a neighbors (outdoor) cat & wanted him to be more sheltered.That picture is a couple years old now & the panel works very well, not only for the wind but rains that blow sideways; it's also very sturdy.We remove it each year, around April & replace it with a sun shade for summertime.There's many uses for these panels. If you have feral cats or outdoor cats, these panels make a great addition that allows sunlight in on one side of their shelter, or build a sheltered porch with a panel, for the cat's, during the day. We didn't have to cut ours, but it looks easy enough to take a jigsaw to cut it.
