Won't break, highly versatile -- I bought 3 (Bedroom, Back Porch, Truck)
After my back injury, I couldn't get shoes on at all without risk of extreme pain. I could scuff loafers on and off, but I didn't want to break down the back of my dress shoes from doing that. I wanted a long shoe horn. These are more than a shoe horn! Hurt back or not, everyone maybe should try these.DURABLE, TOUGH: I thought these would be too flimsy, but for the price, gave it a shot. They're pretty robust. Much thicker, heavier than anticipated. They ain't gonna break, for sure.VERSATILE: And the reverse curve hooks make stripping off socks and picking them up a since. Once I lift one side of my pants on, I'm good to go. I can get the other leg in. But I'm not having to stoop or bend severely to get the process started. And for picking up clothes? -- You won't believe how quickly you find uses for that s-curved hook. Won't be just for dressing (straighten high shelf contents, retrieve things from them, fetch things you see someone left lying on the floor).BUY 3 (You'll want more than one --> ) ... I bought two more a couple weeks after trying the first one. Why three? Because then I don't have to keep breaking it down and screwing it back together or moving it from room to room. Just leave them assembled.1. BEDROOM: I leave the one in the bedroom hanging from the clothes hook or sometimes hang it on the rod in the closet with my clothes.2. BACK PORCH:One in the back porch, so coming in from working in the garden, I can change out of muddy shoes into my house loafers.3. TRUCK: And I keep one in the truck for when I need to slip from dress loafers into muck boots as need be. So... now I'm not carrying it with me room to room or on the road. I have one each place I need it. Can't forget to pack it along when I'm on the road. Don't have to keep breaking it down, screwing it back together. Just leave one assembled each place where I typically use it.Big thumbs up on this (1/10th point dinged for not coming in a more attractive color combo. Black and bronze would have been much classier -- so, maybe I'll paint mine. Don't know. Good enough as they are).

Easily adjusts for different heights (sitting or standing)
I am so happy with this expandable shoe horn and sock feature for pulling up or taking off socks. I am in my 80's and it was getting almost impossible for me to put socks on and off by myself before I got this gadget. It has taken me awhile to figure out how to most efficiently use it, but I'm getting better at it and it makes all the difference in the world. The shoe horn part has been so helpful whether I am standing or sitting because the height is adjustable to give me the best leverage. It even works for slippers (which I wear most). If you have back issues or just can't bend over very far, I highly recommend this product.

Durable and easy to use
I have a bad hip and have a hard time getting certain shoes/boots on due to range of motion. This works wonderfully. Assembles easy. I am just under 5 foot so didn’t need all of the segments.

Useful during recovery from shoulder surgery.
Works as advertised. I'm finding it to be helpful after my rotator cuff surgery. The shoe horn is a great additional feature.

Really helped after my surgery
After all the zumba, it falls down the stairs, and slipping on ice, I finallyinjured myself and needed surgery. This was a life line to getting back to independence and the outdoors until I was able lift my leg and bend over. Sturdy easy to use, and the opposite side hook feature helped retrieve shoes under the coofee table.Great product and woth the price.

Works well for post hip surgery
I used this after I had hip surgery and was surprised how many uses there were for the hooks on the end

May be just me, but the product does not work for me.
As a total reverse shoulder replacement patient with the other shoulder out of whack too, I was looking for a device to help me pull up pants and get on shirts and jackets. For me, this product was not an answer. OT was unable to help me find the stick helpful. Shoe horn is irrelevant when slip on shoes are all the rage. The hooks simply would not grab waist bands, neck lines, etc.; plastic is too slippery and the correct angle of pull or push was not possible for me to achieve. Maybe just a bad fit for my needs and will be helpful to you.
