Absolutely brilliant - Warms house - Removes water - Saves money on heating!
Very easy to use. Removed 4 litres in 12 hours. This warms my house so much that I have the heating very very low or not on at all, It is so much cheaper than the central heating @ 10p to 15p an hour. I have detached 1900 cottage with solid walls! I am seriously impressed. I have used for 3 days and my walls are noticeably drier to the touch and my bedding doesn't feel damp. a few parts of the wall had bubbled and they are now completely dry. So glad I bought these. I thought it was a tad expensive but is worth every penny.

Soaks up moisture like a sponge, quiet.
The media could not be loaded. Strongly recommended. Updated review after 6 weeks use. Hopefully you can tell from video that the noise issue mentioned below has all but disappeared, it's exceptionally quiet on high or low.Colour; off white with a hint of cream, my wife and I like it.First of all the DD3 MK2 soaks up moisture like a sponge on low or high. We previously had a DD128 for 7 years where it was used several times a week throughout the year, keeping humidity right seems to help my daughters asthma. Although the DD3 is larger the shape makes it blend in. It is especially useful for laundry. We had a couple of issues which were sorted out by Simon at Ecoair. On first use you may find it noisy when on low after it’s warmed up, maybe 10 minutes, low pitch drone or whistling noise. This will reduce after a week or so, I put it down to ‘running in’. At first we thought it was faulty and Ecoair very promptly changed it and said if we weren’t happy they would refund. Excellent. So, for and against. For; soaks up moisture like a sponge, very efficient.Non intrusive noise, especially on high.Excellent after sales service made me trust this company.Noticeably heats the room.If you have solar panels then there's little cost involved in running it.Against; slightly noticeable sound on low (but we’re keeping it!). Some people may notice this. If it’s placed in a hallway etc, I don’t think it would be an issue. As a work around, run it on high rather than auto then it would only go onto low after the humidity level is reached for a short time while the fan cools the inerds. The ‘full up auto cut off' could do with adjusting as it allows a little to much water into the reservoir. You might want to take the complete machine into the kitchen before emptying. Speaking of which, you might want to save the water for your indoor plants, watering and spraying the leaves.

essential help during humid months
I have been using this dehumidifier for a year already and it really deserves a review. I have a second dehumidifier, which is not a desiccant one, from a different company, bought soon after this one. Hopefully I am able to compare them and appreciate both of them. This one takes 4L of water from the air in 24h, the other one, of the same capacity, gets full in 2-3 days. I keep this one in a room that is 22sqm, high ceilings, and it does wonderful job. I keep it with the filters oriented towards the room (not facing the wall) and in this way, I believe, it can better reduce the humidity from the air. The air produced is slightly warmer than the room temperature, but it will not heat the room if there is not heating at all. (Obviously, I do not keep it near the radiator, where the air is dry.)Although it purifies the air, do not expect the results of a really good purifier. I personally prefer to keep a separate air purifier on, to keep the air quality at its possible best. Do not ask about the energy consumption, though.A note that I got it at £220.

Amazing product - it works almost too well
I can empty this twice in 24 hours and it still keeps on filling up. That’s over 10 lites a day. Where on earth does it all come from?!Bought initially to dry out a cellar after flooding, but continued using it. It’s evidently great to clear any residual dampness, but also dry clothes if needed.Having to replace an expensive filter every 6 months or so is a bind, but worth it, for what it does.

Perfect for the price
Works really well, not too loud, and has a large water tray (double the size of others) that only needs to be checked on and emptied weekly or daily if it's humid (more often if it's particularly humid or is being used in laundry mode).A reviewer comparing it to a commercial dehumidifier, that costs well over double the price of this one, said this unit was flimsy and I have to agree with them. It is flimsy, but it's not bad. In a home setting it's perfectly adequate. If you're going to be ragging the dehumidifier around as part of your trade then I would perhaps suggest a commercial unit built from metal.Another reviewer reported that the dehumidifier was difficult to empty without spilling water everywhere... I haven't had any issues with this personally, even with a full tank, just empty the tray at the corner where the hole is.I must add that the plug should be avoided -- unless you're constantly draining the tank with a hose -- as it doesn't empty all of the water out of the reservoir. Tip: Make sure to dry the plug and hole before plugging them up as the tank will leak when filled (the same applies to washing machine filter plugs).Lastly, another reviewer mentioned error codes. I haven't had this issue, but would suggest contacting Amazon or EcoAir and querying the 2 year guarantee that comes with the dehumidifier's purchase.Note:• Having previous experience of an air filter that I run 24/7 over many years I would recommend pulling the tray out whilst the unit is resting (it will beep). That way the power button won't wear out.• Dessicant is great for Winter as it heats the air; which can get uncomfortably toasty in a humid summer. Compressors are better for Summer as it cools the warm air, but don't work well in a cold environment.Update:After nearly half a year use, where I routinely emptied the tank before it got full, I found that the dehumidifier doesn't automatically shut off when the water storage tank is at max capacity (a safety feature mentioned on the listing). The float doesn't cut the machine off for some reason. Unfortunately I was out at the time (though others were in) and it resulted in the unit overflowing and soaking a carpeted stairwell. This was on the 55 mode, so would urge extra caution to those using it on laundry mode or 40.Amazon stepped in on my behalf. Not sure about the 2 year guarantee, I wasn't given an option.
