Bought to replace dying fans in my laptop. They work great. A little louder when the ramp up though. Good buy!

Bought these for my MSI GS63 Stealth 8RE laptop. Bought the laptop in December 2018, the single fan failed after about 4 years and the double fan after 6 years. Replacement is a bit of a pain but there are lots of guides on youtube for it. They fit perfect and my first replacement one was still working but i replaced it again while i had it all disassembled.

Great replacement, easy to install. However, check the back of your fan before install. I mean pull the fan out if the housing (it's easy, just pull, there's nothing to unscrew or anything) and check the mold marks. There are 4 or 5 little circles on the backside of the fan near the metal shaft. Mine had some extra material there that made the fans super loud and grinding sounding. Just remove that excess material and you're good.

My CPU fan died about 2 weeks ago, so I decided to buy these as replacements. I brought my laptop (GS63vr Stealth) to my local bestbuy (where I originally baught the laptop from) and had geeksquad install these new ones. Don't get me wrong, they work, but they are much worse than the originals. They don't go as fast as the originals and my Laptop has had much higher temps and lost frams ever since I have had these fans installed. Even when I go on dragon center and turbo the fans to max speed, I can bearly hit 3000 RPM when the originals would hit double that speed. Also, in the product info, it says the fans would arrive with thermal paste, but I got the fans in a crappy plastic shroud, with no thermal paste whatsoever. It's a shame that my almost 2 years Laptop can't preform like it used to, just because of these crappy fans that are listed, and MSI won't even provide a link to buy the Orignal replacement fans. Unprofessional experience overall.

Not easy to install but can be done by someone familiar with computers. That's not the fans fault though! Fans are quiet and cool the CPU/GPU to temps that are equivalent to the original fans. Very happy with them.

HK Part at least cared enough to send me a second set when my first did not work properly. They have offered me a refund if I send the fans back, but shipping is not provided, so I will have to figure something out.If you want a fan that works well, make SURE the CPU fan can hit ~6000 RPM on "Cooler Boost" mode - and the GPU fans should read about ~5200 - the fans I recieved did not go faster than ~3700 RPM no matter what I did. And that is not enough to cool an MSI GS63VR under any real gaming load.*THIRD EDIT****I received the "replacement fans today, and eagerly hooked them up to my laptop, except... SAME PROBLEM AS BEFORE! A MAX Fan speed of ~3500 RPM - these fans are SUPPOSED to do 5200+ RPM when set to max! As it is, these POS fans CANNOT COOL MY LAPTOP UNDER A GAMING LOAD!***Do NOT buy! The seller gave me a replacement, but they were every bit as useless as the original ones HK-Part sent me. I appreciate that the gave me an extra set of fans, but they are again USELESS when it comes to cooling my PC! The STOCK Fans (And ones I have gotten from eBay in the past) ACTUALLY HIT 5200 RPM! These do not even come CLOSE to 5000 RPM - if it were about 4800 RPM - it might be acceptable, but as is this product is USELESS!Product works, but for some reason the fans DO NOT GO FAST ENOUGH TO MOVE ENOUGH AIR!*EDIT* I have been contacted by HK Part - the seller, about a week ago offering to send replacements if the fans were defective, and I told him they are and I need new ones ASAP - I am still waiting on a response... I will edit this review until this issue has been resolved!**SECOND EDIT* HK-Part says they have sent me a replacement, if it works at least close to stock, I will be changing this review!It is at least nice to know they seem to care about customer satisfaction - and that is more than I can say about many other sellers!Because of this, whenever I try to play ANY GAME - even World of Tanks, my GPU quickly climbs to 95 C and then thermally Throttles down to less than 1200 MHZ - from a GTX 1060 6 GB that used to EASILY maintain 1988+ MHZ in all games - and never went above 74 C! I use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut to paste my CPU and GPU on this thing, and at idle my temps are in the mid 30s - so this is NOT my fault in any way!I don't know if I got a defective set or not, but I am not too happy with how little air they move. It is quiet, sure, but I want to be ABLE to crank the fans for games, and have them slow for desktop.The fans I have received are NOT good enough, as a result until I see a working set from HK-Part here, I will recommend to avoid this at all costs.**If the replacements they send me work well I will be changing my review significantly!**

I’m guessing these fans were a good buy. They were for my sons laptop that he’s on quite a bit, and I haven’t heard any complaints since he swapped the bad ones out for these.
