Item wouldn't take a charge
I received the first unit and it doesn't come with a charger so I used a known good phone charger, but after an hour there was no sign of life. I'm returning the unit. It says it should flash when charging...

Wonderful, delicious, and successful
Italian pole beans are FAR better than regular green beans. They are luscious, rich. They should be picked when they are big green and and bulging, 3/4" to 1" wide. Don't pick them little. Before cooking, cut off the tips and toss them, mthen cut what is left into 1" to 1 1/2" pieces. I put one to two quarts fresh into a two quart serving hole, add about a half inch of water, cover, and put them in the microwave oven at top power for ten minutes, then let them sit for ten more. They'll stay hot. I just put lots of salt on them. Then their natural flavor tastes buttery. Keeps the calories down. These are expensive. No question. But it's hard to find Italian pole beans. Accept no substitutes! I tried starting these inside, but they all died. I don't know how to grow seeds inside. I planted two dozen seeds outside in wonderful soil, a dozen in early May and another dozen two weeks later. They all grew really well. I had a string for each plant secured five feet high. The vines grew to the top, looped over, and grew back to the ground. It did take about 65 days for the first harvest. I would guess that EACH seed yielded between one and two QUARTS of pole beans over the course of a month. I kept them weeded and watered. I'm very pleased. I'll buy more next year, though I guess I should have saved a few pods from this harvest to use for seed next year. After all, these are heirlooms, not hybrids.

Now I understand the story of Jack and the Beanstalk
It was impossible to find seeds for Romano beans at our local outlets so I ordered them online. I love Romano beans, but they sell for $10/pound at our local Farmer's Market and they sell out fast. I was not sure if I could grow them in the greenhouse, but the deer would have taken them out if I'd planted them outside, so I gave it a try. The plants grew up to the rafters of my cathedral-ceiling greenhouse and then spread across the supports. I bet they would have been 20 feet tall if they'd had trellises that high! The yield has been tremendous and I'm still picking them every day.One of my favorite ways to eat them is in a salad: steam until just tender and chill to preserve the color. Combine with good tomatoes, Kalamata olives (halved), and cubes of fresh mozzarella. Dress with a vinaigrette. I like Lucini's Fig and Walnut Savory Balsamic, but another balsamic vinaigrette or a homemade dressing would also be wonderful.Another favorite is to steam them and then added shallots browned in butter.

Best bug catcher ever!
This thing works great. We have a stink-bug problem and all you do is turn it on and the bug is sucked up. You can throw it in the toilet or toss it outside. It's great!

Broken in 3 days
The product did not turn on immediately after pressing the button and the whole thing completely broke after three days of use. It was wonderful when it did work, however. The switch got jammed and would not turn off. It ran until the battery was uncharged and I cannot recharge it or do anything with it. $28.00 down the drain.

Many blossoms but no beans growing
Lots of blossoms and long healthy vines, but no beans. Sunny warm days; plenty of water, but not too much of course. What gives?A week or so later, I have to amend the original review. The beans are starting to form now. Perhaps I was too impatient, but it did seem to take longer this year which has been sunny and warm. Must have been the gardener rather than the seeds.

No touching bugs
The suction is not that strong but if you are straight on a bug works pretty well. Saves us from lots of yuck bugs so we are happy!

These were amazing. They grew so tall and lush for a long time and I started worrying that I wasn't going to get beans but by August (our planting season is short)we found our first bean and then they exploded! Literally, the support we had for them crashed in on itself due to the weight. They were delicious and wonderful. We will be ordering again.
