This saw cut everything I put in front of it without changing blades.
I was skepticle of this saw so I bought the cheaper (refurbished) unit. The $60 price would keep me from loosing sleep if the product failed miserably against the advertised claims of cutting this, that and the other. I first used it to cut our old metal 2 car garage door (4 section, 16ft wide) into five 3.2ft x 2ft piles. The saw made the 16 cuts effortlessly and even made straight cuts through the rubber floor/weather seal on the bottom section. I experienced no kick back and only a few sparks when the saw hit the steel bracket on the bottom panel the weather seal was attached to. The next test was on an aluminum motorcycle swing arm that was to be stretched. I wasn't confident it would work but I had room for error on this, so if the cut didn't start correctly I would be OK. It cut through both sides of the aluminum swingarm with amazing ease, SMOOTH CUTS all the way. I then took it over to a friends house who was installing screen doors on the front and back of his house. The metal door framing comes extra long and has to be cut to size. We made the cuts through the metal framing wtih ease and without any damage to the metal or paint. Currently, I'm using it to cut diamond plate for shelving in the garage/shop, so far I have cut what would be a sum of about 18 feet through diamond plate. The edges are all smooth and the cuts look great. Saftey glasses are a must when cutting aluminum as the saw expells LARGE amounts of aluminum bits "under force" everywhere. I have not changed blades and to this point I can't feel any degradation in the blades cutting ability. I made a couple of short cuts into a small piece of sun dried plywood I had laying in the yard just to see what it would do with wood and it went through it just fine. This saw has cut everything I've put in front of it so far.My only complaints would be the lack of a base plate which can be bought separately and I would like to see the maximum depth cut >1.1 inch. I will keep my circular saw for my wood projects and use my Dual Saw for everything else.I would definitely recommend the Dual Saw to others!!! .

Does not like cutting Stainless Steel.
We bought this to cut some stainless steel trim we were installing around a customer service window. The metal was 4-in wide with a 2-in lip on each side. This cut a total of 24" and then the blades quit cutting. Used one lube stick on each cut. Not happy with the quality of this product. It would probably be fine if you just wanted to cut wood or plastic. But if that is all you are going to do, there are cheaper priced tools that would do those jobs. I will replace the blades on this and continue to use it on non-metal jobs. That is the only reason it gets two stars instead of one. Should have just got a Rotorazer or other style multi function mini saw. At least then, if the metal blade got dull, I still had all the other blades.

so good. We purchased this saw to cut sheet metal ...
So far, so good. We purchased this saw to cut sheet metal and thin aluminum wall partitions between dog runs. We were making holes in these walls, not cutting the metal to make a wall. These runs were already assembled and our goal is to install dog doors in between runs such that two runs could be connected. We cut 10 18"x 24" holes in the sheet metal in about 45 minutes with a couple of breaks. A Sawsall or similar would have been much more difficult and we would have chewed through probably 4-5 blades in the process. I will update when we cut the aluminum.

Let The Buyer Be Ware
The overall advantage seen for this saw is poss8ibly its weight. When started it kicks rather hard and you must be aware of it. Having seen it on TV, I was annoyed by the real thing being so different, my mistake.
