Sizzix(SIZC7) 3-D Texture Fades Embossing Folder, Gray Large

Love all Tim Holtz products. I aged silver Sheen paper with black soot paint. Looks great for my steam punk cards

Great for cards, scrapbooking and even faux metal embellishment for other steampunk crafts, like boxes. I use this embossing folder on basic black card stock. Then I use a basic metalic paint, the acrylic crafting type in the small bottles. I just dry brush it lightly over the top so the black paper still shows through. Next step, I add a complimentary metallic color, or two to add little highlights that look like rust or patina. Easy to make paper look like aged copper or rusted metal.

These are sold for paper. I’m a creative leather worker and use these with cased leather to embellish customers projects. YOU MUST PROPERLY CASE YOUR LEATHER or it won’t work as well as you’d like
