Cycle beads, is a way to track your periods, and/or ovulation. It's called Family Planning. Not to be used as a contraception, as everyone has a different cycle, so you can't only use this alone to prevent pregnancy. However, if you are trying to get pregnant, you can track the days you should be more likely to become pregnant (white days). Again not 100%. This product uses our basic fertile times, and none fertile times to help you track the brown days (non fertile) and white days (fertile). The red bead is your period. Always consult your doctor, but if you take this for what it is, it's a great way to track, and know the days to use condoms or not! Again this is not a 100% safe way to not become pregnant, so use protection if you don't want to get pregnant.

This is a useless product, i used it as instructed plus used ovulation test kit when in doubt and managed to get pregnant within 3 months when i was trying to avoid pregnancy.This is no good!

This product is OK. As birth control, it is an easy method, but it gives you too many unsafe days when you must use a barrier or abstain. To plan a pregnancy, this method gives to large of a window for fertile days. I recommend the FAM method instead which you can learn about through _Taking Charge of Your Fertility Awareness_ by Toni Weschler. I've learned so much more and feel more confident with the book than with the beads.

This is a great product, but hasn't worked for me....If your cycles are longer then 32 days or shorter then 28....this product will not work for you! I was disappointed............they should tell you that before you buy them

I was super exited to receive these I think the idea is genius (thus I gave it two stars instead of one) however I was very disappointed when I received them as they are huge cheap looking plastic beads that I will never wear, from the picture I was expecting something small, discreet and neutral, not at all the case, the white beads are glaringly white as is the red, its chunky big and ugly :(

Heard of these years ago always wanted one but didn't buy one until last year. Wish I can gotten them years ago. These are wonderful. Exactly as described. Fast shipping, works wonderful for me. Plan to buy one as a gift for someone close to me.

Based on the dimensions I was expecting a bracelet that I could wear everyday, but instead this is giant and bulky and is not wearable. I wish I could return it.

These are a good way to keep track of your cycle, but not much easier to remember to move the marker to a new bead each day than it is to mark on a calendar. I think it's funny that the 'fertile' days have glow-in-the-dark beads. Really I think you could make one of these chains of beads and save yourself some money, as long as you could do a little research and figure out which days of the cycle were the fertile ones.
