My daughter was looking for a “space” backpack. We found this and she fell in love. It is not overly big, but will hold a lot. The inside has several hidden pockets. Her favorite pet was the matching pencil pouch!

thick quality material
My daughter loves this. The zippers and fabric are quality material, and it feels sturdy.The straps stem from the backpack with not much room for the neck (i.e. there is not a big gap between the straps at the neck where they stem from the backpack) but my daughter doesn't seem to be irritated by this. This may be something that adults would look for, but for my 5 yr old the gap btwn the straps isn't necessary.
