Good quality.. Chunky!!
I use this for a lot of different things and love the variety this brick offers in regard to shred size. If you are buying for arthropod substrate or horticultural amendment.. I found this to be more than satisfying for my needs. Most other Coir I've bought in bricks was really fine and dusty. Lots of little < 3cm chunks to bulk up media with moisture sinks!Another way this Coir stood out from ALL of the others I've used is the way it resisted growth of non-beneficials for long periods after being moistened.. As opposed to other Coir bricks and mixes I've used becoming ripe with life in short order of being moistened.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!
I have ordered 2, maybe 3 blocks of this wonderful stuff this season and will order another to hold in reserve. a fine addition to your potting soil, especially if you mix your own. it is coarse, however, it drains well AND retains moisture. this block of fiber swells. A Lot!!! I must be pleased because I keep ordering!! this is not pith. t! it is coarse. just ask my epiphytes!

I bought this to use on my worm farm
Pretty good deal. I do have one complaint however. Since I harvest my worm castings and sift them thru a screen, I have noticed how many unusable chunks there are. I would say about 1/14th of the brick are solid chunks big enough to get caught in a 1" screen. I realize that there are other uses for this stuff so that is just a worm farmers opinion. My worms love the stuff.

Great Coco Coir
Absolutely love this product and will use it for every plant I pot (except my cacti and succulents, of course). It’s not too chunky, nor too fine. Just perfect.I make my own potting mixture using this plus other ingredients, depending on the plant. I love this company and won’t use any other Coco Coir for my needs.Buy it. Use it. Watch your plants thrive.

Don't forget to rinse thorout
I forgot to rinse the potential salt or other contaminants out of this media before transplanting and all my transplants turned yellow and lost their leaves. Not necessarily a problem with the product. Price okay for quantity

Organic product
I’ll be using this product as an amendment and mulch. Since this is the first time I’ve purchased this product, I don’t know that this is worth the money. But after hydrating the brick, it was amazing how much coir there is

It smells like mold, seems mulchy, has plastic pieces
This is the 3rd kind of coco I’ve used, and the 1st to smell like mold. It smelled a little funny dry, not moldy though. But after 24 hours after wetting it my whole room smells like a strong mold. Particularly the bin I used and where there remainder of it currently sits. I hope this coco is just stinky, and not moldy. First time I’ve had a coco smell like this. It also seems really mulchy compared to say canna, and found little white and blue plastic pieces. So far it appears to be the worst coco I’ve used as far as plastics in it. I really hope this don’t mess up my entire grow.Update: well the plants in this coco are not as happy as the ones in canna.

Nice fibrous texture. Perfect mix of coir fiber & husk chunks
The husk added to the fibers makes it perfect for lining container bottoms. I also use it as a top layer. Packing in the edge. It secures the transplants, until they anchor in. It also keeps perlite from floating to the top, as much.I mix 30% to 50% with ProMix HP ( High Porosity ) has about 30% perlite. They blend right together. The result holds more water than straight HP mix. But still drains VERY quickly.
