I am the danger!
My sister runs and hikes in a bad neighborhood. From snakes to bums. I got this for her so at least I know she has something to defend herself with. Easy to operate just a hard swing downward unleashes the rod and locks it in place. To retract it I need to tap the rod really hard on a hard surface because I can’t just push it down. It has a really great rubber grip comfortable as well. It is pretty heavy but I understand why it’s made really durable. I swung really hard at a brick and not a dent on stick. Didn’t even feel the vibration from the hit. Comes with a few accessories one belt clip, one wrist strap with a point at end used for breaking windows if need be. If you’re looking for some kind of security this is it. Love this.

You get what you pay for, I guess...
Extends with the flick of your wrist.. very smooth. When its time to collapse it, thats a different story. It got stuck the 3rd or 4th time I extended it.

Stuck
The first time I extended it, it would not collapse, even with extreme force.

Fantastic item
Very sturdy and strong and fits into my riding vest pocket, I highly recommend this if your looking for a little non lethal defense

Doesn't retract!
The item did not come with a diagram for its use! First opened it, the extension fell out just turning it down! Once I put it back, I tried to extent it again and only with effort did it come out, then it would not retract!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!

Perfect for Self-defense
Negative reviews saying they can't retract the stick are nonsense...it's the perfect weapon...retracts just fine after aggressive use...add a little oil or lithium grease at pressure points before you extend it and you're good to go. Belt-side carrying case and strap are NOT sufficient so you'll need to replace with para-cord and make or purchase another stronger belt loop carrier.

Locking for the price
First off, ALL fricsion lock Batons are hard to close. If your messing around with it, dont open it so hard. If you need to use it, then jerk it open and worry about closeing it after. If this is a problem, spend 150$ for a button closer.
