Great product, but some important details to consider
I have these in both the blue flame and orange flame - we'll be using them for Halloween decorations. They work great, and you should check out the customer pictures and videos here to see them in action...and you should also understand a few things that aren't communicated well in the product specs:1) The bulbs have four modes to display in, and they flip from one to the other by turning the switch on and off. So for example if you like Mode 2, then after you turn the light off, the next time you turn it on the bulb will be in Mode 3 and you'll need to turn it off, then on (to Mode 4), repeat to flip through Mode 1 and then one more time and you'll be back in Mode 2 again.2) Technically, per the Q&A here, yes you *can* connect the bulbs to a dimmer switch, but that doesn't mean they "work with" a dimmer switch. If you raise or lower the dimming there will be no effect until you reach a cutoff threshold and the bulb will simply go out.If the switch has multiple bulbs plugged into it, they may not all cut off at the same time, and so turning back on again, they may be out of sync or even come up in different modes from each other.3) If you're installing multiple bulbs on one switch, if you change one out it will be in a different mode from the rest. You'll want to plug it in somewhere else and turn it off/on the correct number of times to 'tell' the bulb to be in the same mode as the other bulbs--or just turn on/off the other bulbs on the switch until they're in Mode 4, install the new bulb, and the next time you turn the switch on, all 4 will come up in Mode 1.4) You *can* use these bulbs outdoors, but--as the specs say--the bulbs are NOT waterproof. There are tiny holes in the bulb end for airflow. So mounting them upside down will be fine, or upright but inside a fixture (like a carriage light fixture that encloses the bulb), but if you mount them upright and exposed outdoors, rain and moisture will get into the bulb and its circuitry. These bulbs do look great. The blue is much dimmer than the orange, and both do a lovely flicker effect. If I mount them in the ceiling facing downwards (like in a pot light) then using the 'gravity' Mode makes the 'flame' seem more visible and slightly brighter. I'm going to enjoy having these in the hallway, chandelier, and front porch for Halloween, and we might keep the dining room chandelier ones in year-round.

Not bad. Expected (hoped would be) brighter. Overall I like it.
I guess I shouldn't have expected TOO much from a $5/each LED based bulb in plastic. It does work, and it's not bad: it just isn't as bright as I must have been expecting, but at night or inside somewhere with lower ambient light it is probably decent. I tried it in room with no windows and shut the door and I was a little more impressed with it. I also tried both bulbs that came in the package to be sure I wasn't missing something here, that I can only find 3 modes. When you first plug it in, you get a flickering flame look. When you unplug it and plug it back in, the second mode is just a solid orange light with no motion of any kind. On the third unplug/plug-in you get the solid "all on" feature again, then after about 2 to 3 seconds the LEDs trickle down quickly in a random fashion like a candle being snuffed out and after totally going 'out' it relights fully, then runs thru that routine endlessly. If you unplug and plug it back in again, you just cycle thru those 3 options again. I did not find a 4th mode. The product description says it has 4, but neither bulb in this set does that. I guess it's not a big deal since I want the 'random flame' look anyway, but you may want to fix the product description because it is inaccurate.I'll be using these when camping. Maybe around my camper like a fake tiki torch look.

Not a flame effect at all. More like an annoying random strobe light.
The product images of the flame effect inside the bulb are 100% bullshots. The actual bulbs are opaque cylinders. Inside them are several LEDs. The ones I ordered where blue. The shade of blue is fine, and there appears to be a decent UV component (if one cares about such things.) The problem is the "flame" effect, which amounts to little more than fast, erratic strobing. There's no real flame shape, just a moving blob of strobing light. The pattern moves quite quickly and over a large dynamic range (light to dark). The end result is a distracting, irritating light that draws attention to itself and not in a good way. There is one tiny spot of silver lining in this cloud. The bulbs (at least the ones I bought, YMMV) have a feature not covered on the box. Turning them on then off then back on in quick succession switches the flame pattern to a slow mode. The slow mode does away with the erratic flashing, but the dynamic range is still to big. The bulbs remain a distraction, but a slower moving one. Also, sometimes when quickly power cycling the bulbs, I'd get an always on mode. In that case, they're just boring blue LED bulbs.I'm something of a connoisseur of novelty lighting. I ran a one man nightclub lighting business for 15 years. I've owned a great many lighting effects. These bulbs are not the worst I've owned, but they are massive disappointment, especially for the money they cost. Look elsewhere if you want an LED flame effect.

Nice product.
These are nice. They aren't 2800k, though. They are a bit heavy and a little loose on adjustment part. I will update review and stars once I find out why my lights aren't 2800k.UPDATE:They work, and company says they are correct kelvin. The seller was very pushy about upping the stars on this review. They also provided responsive service via email. That was remarkable.I'll keep using them for nowupdate: 11/12/18I had to buy a few more to sort the color issue. They made getting more easy, thing is one of the bulbs smoked upon install. They are also fixing that should I want to buy another set. They have great follow up and customer service and will try to make it right.
