Nice looking fitness tracker with a lot of room for improvement
I bought this fitness tracker because it has the body composition feature, It works as expected taking good measurements if you follow the guidelines from TomTom. The product is really light, it has a good look, doesn't look like any of the other fitness trackers, it stays in your wrist even if you move a lot your wrist while you workout. The product has received a lot of updates since I got it in October 24th, and the updates made the tracker to have more functionality and better performance. It takes 5 days for the battery to run out of energy, using it regularly, using the workout option 5 times a week for 1 1/2 hours and the continuous heart rate monitor and notifications turned off. I wrote about all pros, now you may wonder about the 3-star rating, so here goes the cons:The screen is easily scratched, even though I had been extra careful not to scratch it.The fitness tracker band will not last long (7 months) it broke apart where it holds the tracker and I tried to glue it but it hold the watch one week and it broke again. And there is one more problem, I haven't found the same black original band to buy and replace mine. In amazon the only available are the color ones, they don't have the black one.The body composition doesn't work in your wrist, you have to place it in your arm to take a good measure. If you want to use the notifications or the continuous heart rate monitor the battery will only hold for 2~3 days, the same happens if you leave the workout option on it will drain your energy fast.It is a good fitness tracker with a good design, people will notice your tracker, however they have a lot to improve for a next generation tracker.

Works great, does it's job, but falls off when too active.
My husband was having heart palpitations, so I bought him this to help monitor his heart and to help in motivation to get him moving more. It works great for both. He is always comparing how many steps he took and if it didn't meet his goal he is up and walking around the house until his goal is met. It monitors his heart well and he can get lots of information from logging into the website for this devise. I removed one star because he does have an issue with it falling off sometimes. He was skiing and lost it (luckily he found it). It has fallen off a couple of time in normal yard work too. So far he has found it every time, but he uses it so much and the purpose for which I bought it was to help him be more active and it's not working great if it falls off when he is too active....

Good replacement for FitBit Charge HR
I purchased this after my FitBit Charge HR literally fell apart. In general, I like this better than the FitBit: it has a slightly lower profile and the band is easily adjustable to my small wrists, so I can wear it under my boxing wraps and gloves fairly comfortably. It holds a charge longer than the FitBit and charges quicker. Where it needs some work: the body composition is far from accurate - comes out 4-5 percentage points higher on body fat than my scale; the app doesn't provide as much detail as the FitBit app, for example it tells me total sleep hours in terms of how many hours I wasn't moving with no indication of wakeful or restless periods; also FitBit automatically detected when I was exercising based on HR and tracked time in HR zones - with the TomTom, I have to indicate when I'm working out and haven't figured out how to get a record of my zones. Since I workout with boxing gloves, it's hard for me to check HR mid-workout. All in all, better physical design than FitBit, but needs some work on the tech.

I'm heavily invested in the TomTom fitness Universe, this is tracker is garbage.
Pros: Body compositionApp metrics and info is usefulsleep tracking is easier to wear than the Spark or Adventurer or running versions.Cons: The strap is garbage and broke within weeks of purchasingreplacement straps from tomtom are garbage.the aftermarket straps are functional yet fail in practicalitythe algorithm for sleep tracking leaves a lot to be desired--when charging the device believes you are sleeping.I'm heavily invested in the tomtom fitness tracking universe. This is a carry over from my ipod nano which had a pedometer with nike+, which had a fancy integration with with the nike plus app--which became nike run club. I made the Nike plus fuel band purchase, and the Nike+ Watch which was a GPS run tracker with a heart rate monitor strap purchase. The GPS features were provided via tomtom and all my ipod nano Nike Plus/Nike Run Club miles carried over. Which is why I bought the TomTom Spark, and Adventurer. I have over 2000 running miles tracked with these devices. When I found out that my VO2 Max and body composition could be measured with my sleep and recovery by using the Fitness Tracker it was an easy sell. Which I regret. The device that is on the rear of the tracker that is responsible for the body compostisition measurement broke after 2 years of sporadic use. The ring of the device fell out. It looks like it was held in with an epoxy of some sort and a post keeps it aligned. The devices fails to function in its single role. The strap broke with in weeks of the purchase. The aftermarket strap ejected the device during the simplest of wrist bumps. I learned that using transparent tape around the device in the aftermarket strap kept it in place. Which made charging an aggravating experience. The sleep tracking feature does not work well with multiple tomtom devices. I still use the Spark and Adventurer during runs/bikes/swims/hikes/general-outdoor-malarky. This means I take off the fitness tracker while using the GPS devices. And this means that the fitness tracker thinks that i'm asleep. Which is strange because there is no heart rate data during this time--one would think that the lack of a heart rate would suggest that the user is dead, or at the very least not using the device.I wish I would have made the leap to the Garmin device universe a long time ago. All the other fitness trackers have their different utilities, and apps. And all of the GPS devices fail to be everything i want. But this fitness tracker was a terrible experience from the first two weeks.I wish i could give this to an enemy.

There are far better products available in the same price range that actually work.
I don't usually leave reviews for purchases but this item is soo bad I couldn't let anyone else buy this terrible product. Firstly the strap is atrociously bad, the "clasp" (if you can call it that) comes open for no reason what-so-ever allowing the watch to randomly fall off you arms. Also the pin should be glued in as this will constantly fall out also leaving you no way to close the strap around your wrist properly. I have tried both the small & large bands and this issue occurs with both. This is especially annoying when not actively using the device as you may not notice. The battery itself lasts for less than a day, especially If you use the heart rate monitor and/or link it to your phone. The main reason I bought this device was however for the body mass sensor. This is one of the first devices on the market to do this but unfortunately it widely misses the mark. The sensor is soo sporadic it's basically useless. It will work 1 out of every 50 times tried. I spent up to an hour trying to get this to work only to have it fail repeatedly. The heart rate monitor doesn't even seem that accurate either. I assume this problem occurs because I have darker skin as I have seen this work better for other friends. Either way this is very disappointing; I have used other products that were more accurate even with my skin tone.TL:DRDo NOT buy this. There are far better products available in the same price range that actually work.

Great value smart watch
Update after 6 months: Strap broken, managed to get one off eBay, and over the hot summer I suffered with rashes from the strap. Still using though. This smart watch is amazing and good value, it constantly monitors steps, distance, calories, sleep, then it can be set to monitor a workout, then Bluetooth the data to see daily, weekly and monthly statistics. Heartbeat consistent with gym machines. Battery life probably 3 or 4 days. Comfortable to wear. Would recommend.

Disappointed after three wrist bands break
My complaints are not due to the actual device which works well for me. The problems I encountered were that the strap broke quite quickly after receiving the tracker. I then had to spend Β£60 to buy two new ones. They both broke as well. I do not do extreme sports and am careful with my tracker, so it was really more a matter of poor design and poor quality manufacturing ( with too high price per replacement band) What use is my tracker without being able to wear it?

Massively disappointing when compared to cheaper alternatives
Very disappointing - this was purchased to replace a cheap band that had broken and the sleep function is amateurish by comparison. Instead of analysing your sleep into deep, light and "awake" sleep, this is binary - either you are asleep or you are not. The fact that it thinks you are asleep if you are watching tv is laughable. Seemingly no inactivity function either. The software is also basic so you can't delete the tv watching sleep to add to the frustration. Some functions are ok but just ok not market leading

Bluetooth didn't work
This would not connect to the phone app, the Bluetooth didn't work. The updates have to be installed using a computer (not while tethered to the phone, like other smartwatches), and I don't have a lap top so I had to borrow one. After all this faff, it still didn't work. The refund was processed promptly, however.
