The Cadillac of Crews
Wow! I was blown away by these crews after wearing the big box store brand for years. Saw these on Amazon and decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, fit and cushioning of these. They were so comfy that I ordered another pack of the opposite color. I’ll not return to the big box brands after finding these. They wash well and look great.

Decent! (A rarity with socks)
The overwhelming majority of socks you can readily find at a reasonable price are essentially either a) plastic tubes you put your feet in, in order to overheat them, b) made with a bare minimum of material, but a high degree of elasticity so that the manufacturer can avoid the tooling cost of making different sizes and still claim their product will fit anyone from an infant to Paul Bunyon. (hint - they won't!), c) badly made/sewn of non-durable materials, or d) some combination of the foregoing.I stumbled over several of the above problems in previous orders (and returns), including other offerings from Wander, before finding these socks. I bought one set of these in the larger (11-15) size, and when they proved decent and at least reasonably durable after some use, bought several additional sets, because even 'decent' socks seem difficult to find, and manufacturers seem so dedicated to the idea of product churn that any product that is decent today likely either won't be available tomorrow or will have been degraded in quality.I've been quite pleased with these, but I suspect socks are a very personal choice, and the considerations that are important to me may not be the same that are important to others. That's about the only legitimate reason I can think of for why some of the socks I have purchased previously have had very high rankings in the reviews, despite being quite horrible in my own estimation. (I can also think of some non-legitimate reasons!)Here is what I find about these socks: they are mostly cotton - meaning they breathe, they are mostly cotton - meaning they shrink some (but not badly) in the wash as long as you don't use high temperatures, they are mostly cotton - meaning they have enough elastic to stay up but not so much as to be constrictive on your calves, they are mostly cotton - meaning that they provide a comfortable level of cushion under your foot, they are mostly cotton - so they will wear well but not last as long as some of the socks made with more synthetics, they are mostly short-staple cotton - meaning that they will shed some material and you may have some material accumulate on the bottom of your feet the first few wearings until they have been worn and washed three or four times. The material around the calves is markedly thinner than the material up to just past the ankle. I like this, but you may not. Note that thinner doesn't mean low quality - it's just part of the design, as the foot of the sock is fairly thick and cushioned. I typically wear a size 11 to 12 shoe. These socks were perhaps a bit large for me prior to washing. After washing, they were very comfortable, with perhaps the tiniest bit more give than is completely necessary, but not so much as to be annoying. While these socks are decidedly larger than most socks being sold nowadays, I wouldn't want to wear these if my feet were bigger than about size 13. My brother takes size 15 and I don't think these would work for him.I find these suitable for year round use in the temperate climate in which I live - warm enough for winter, not overly hot for summer. I wear them with sneakers - they are thick but not so thick as to require a larger size shoe, and I wear them around the house in preference to slippers or going barefoot. I would not consider them warm enough for boot socks in cold weather, and I can't imagine their being an ideal choice if you live in a hot climate.Hope it helps.

Thick, stretchy, lots of lint
I purchased these in March 2022 (size 12-15). They are finally starting to wear out and I've thrown a few pairs away recently. Overall, they have been okay socks, but I wouldnt buy these again. They are too stretchy (which can be a plus for some people), which can lead to bunching at the heel when putting shoes on. In addition, they are still shedding quite a bit of lint which is annoying.LongevityI've worn them mostly in the colder months (upper Midwest), so they haven't seen constant use in the past 1.5 years. I feel like I've done an okay job of rotating them so they are wearing evenly. In the past couple weeks, I've had to finally throw out about 6 socks because they are getting holes, mostly in the tips of the toes or ball of the foot. It's all normal wear and tear, but I definitely haven't had this many socks all fail at once before.FitFit is true to size for 12-15 (I wear a 14 US athletic shoe). However, these are very stretchy, as evidenced by the higher than normal spandex percentage. I'd expect that on the calf, but it's throughout the sock which can be annoying and cause bunching and rotation of the sock on your foot. However, the stretchiness may be a plus for those with larger calves or wide feet.FeelThe socks are very thick with a lot of cushioning in the material on your foot. However, they've shed constantly over their lifespan. I'd recommend washing them inside out every now and then to help with that. It never goes away though. Most socks shed, but these are a tad ridiculous compared to other brands (Under Armour, Carhartt, Dickies, GoldToe, etc.).

Great Socks!
These are great socks! They are well cushioned and comfortable. Mine have lasted six years with frequent use and have only recently begun to sag so I'll be buying a replacement pack soon.
