Holds up to heavy sparks from grinders!
Most durable laces that can still be tied well enough that I have ever seen!Lasted over two years of heavy sparks and even occasional molten metal from use as a steel pipe fitter/fabricator. Normal cheap laces last a month or two, "durable" laces and the original laces that come with the name brand timberland boots last 3-5 months, these lasted over two years and more than paid in the difference in cost. Still they failed in the same way, dry rot and failure in the underside which never got cleaned but zero damage from sparks so they far outlasted everything. To give an idea of the abuse, my $190 timberland boots only last 12-16 months and my full leather apron to block the sparks at my stomach only lasts a year so these things can clearly take abuse. Worth the money for me most definitely. The main con is the cost, really unless your dealing with sparks or mud these arent worth your money in my opinion, but some people really need laces that can handle sparks and weld slpatter and these work for that surprizingly well. The only real con beyond the cost is the stiffness, they are more difficult to tie but I learned an effective way to tie it with little risk of untieing and easy untieing later. Single underloop to start basically the way most teach to tie shoes, then single bunny ear and pull the otherside all the way through (dont make two ears at the same time, just one), then bunny ear the other side as a double tie and get it very tight. The first bunny ear tightens to the shoe and the second ear tightens to the first ear. This way never has come untied unless the string was left too long and got stepped on, actually these get tighter than conventional laces only doing this way specifically but releasing isnt an issue since pulling the correct string will pull out one loop then pull the other and its untied. The laces do require a very tight tie to not come untied, but doing the separate single bunny ears as described allows for a very tight tie without the shoe itself being too tight. Dunno why but tieing the bunny ears together for a double tie does not stay tied since they are too stiff, and only doing the bunny ears for a single tie as normally taught for tennis shoes doesnt stay either. And this style isnt as effective with normal laces as with these laces either, im on my feet for 10-12 hours a day in these climbing over stuff and climbing inside of pipe and never came untied unless the release string was pulled. Yet my thin laces on my tennis shoes never stayed tied with this tieing style. If you need laces that can handle sparks and can figure out a tie for them since they are thicker these are very highly recommended!

They certainly didn't break!
I pull really tight on my shoelaces, so, after wearing a new pair of shoes for about a week, the default black shoelaces broke. They're Marrell - I have a pair of running shoes that work great, but for my sneakers, they just didn't make the shoelaces strong enough. So, I decided to get the strongest shoelaces I could find. When I put them on at first, they seemed pretty thick, and they were really stiff. It was a little annoying how stiff they were - it made it harder to tie them. However, after a week or 2, they became more flexible, and they're easier to tie now. Either that, or I just got used to them. Apparently they're supposed to go on boots, but they've worked perfectly well on my sneakers. I got them over 5 months ago, and there's no sign of damage or degradation - they seem just as strong as they did 5 months ago.

Excellent laces.
My shoes are New Balance work shoes, and over the course of a year or two the laces included with the shoes, which are softer, have nearly pulled apart, in such a way where the softer "outer" part of the laces somehow broke and separated, leaving a few strands of an inner core inside the factory included laces and that is the only thing keeping the laces intact. 3 out of the 4 lace sides broke. It was impossible and fairly annoying to get the broken laces to work like they did, despite numerous attempts. I wanted to find a shoelace that was nearly unbreakable. Well, I can tell you these IronLace shoe laces are excellent. I can already tell it will be very difficult for these laces to break, to pull apart under normal use similarly to the old ones, unless they were deliberately cut. They are incredibly sturdy. So far after a couple months of use, they have become more pliable but still are very sturdy. Be prepared for some of the paint or coloring on the laces to rub off on your hands while you are tying them; at least for a week or two. I would be very surprised if my shoes would outlast these laces. If I had to do it again, I would buy a new set of IronLaces when I bought new shoes. 100% excellent job, IronLace!

Strong but will break
The media could not be loaded. I am a Corrections Officer and am on my feet 8-16 hours a day six days a week. I work in all elements as in Michigan we get all four seasons with weather during the year. With that said, my footwear changes accordingly for summer months and winter months. These laces were to replace the standard laces that came with the boots I wear for the mid Fall through mid Spring. I want to be clear. I purchased these laces November of 2022. Out of the box the appearance of the black laces were great! The specified number of eyelets suggested gave me a bit more lace than I needed. They were very stiff likely due to the material they are made from. The texture feels of durability and high quality. After a few months of wear, the laces faded from black to gray, but was of no consequence or issue to usability. To my disappointment this a few days ago one of the laces DID break with slight indications of rust likely from the bit of metal used in manufacturing. In all the months combined of use equals to approximately one year. These laces did last six months longer than what was supplied by the boot company. I believe these laces are a bit pricey for the amount of time they were put into use. I would like to know what the Lifetime Guarantee entails. The description of them makes them seem as if they could survive an apocalypse. But for now, I would settle for surviving more than a year in prison.

The real deal
Compared to other laces these are much thinner, and rigid. They stay knotted better than other laces, and after months of use in austere they look and feel as new with no fraying or stretching. These will be my go-to laces for all my boots in the future.

No need to buy other laces ever again
These are superior quality and I’d love to buy more, but they just don’t wear out. Could not recommend higher.

The BEST Laces For Welders
The media could not be loaded. These are an absolute game-changer! As someone who works in welding and needs durable, reliable gear, these laces have become an essential part of my workday. These laces are virtually indestructible, thanks to their advanced design and construction. No more worrying about my laces snapping mid-shift – these bad boys can handle whatever I throw at them. And let's not forget about convenience. The 1-pair pack is perfect for my work boots, and the 9-10 eyelets ensure a secure fit every time. Plus, the laces are easy to lace up and stay tied throughout the day, giving me one less thing to worry about on the job.
