No instruction manual, but can be accessed on the internet. In most cases, not needed.
The NOCO AX65 is a high quality, easy to use, convenient, portable, combination battery backup starter and air compressor in one compact package. Cheap insurance if your car battery goes dead, or you’re on the road with a leaking tire. An absolute necessity if you drive off road into back country. Convenient to simply keep your tires properly inflated. The only “downside” is the non worthy cloth carry bag that is included. For the price, I believe a custom protective carry case should be included. In lieu of that, a $10 plastic “ammunition” box (Harbor Freight) with a little foam padding works fine. I highly recommend the NOCO AX65.

Exceeded expectations
I purchased the NOCO Boost AIR AX65 on Amazon for $299, and so far, it has exceeded my expectations in both performance and utility. To test the air compressor, I deflated one of my truck’s 37” tires down to 6 PSI. The AX65 brought it back up to 38 PSI in just 5 minutes and 15 seconds. After this, the battery indicator turned red, so I decided to see if it still had enough juice for a jump start. I completely disconnected the battery in my 2023 Ford Raptor R and connected the AX65 to the vehicle's wiring terminals. The device intelligently senses if any voltage is present before applying power, preventing accidental arcing or reverse polarity. Since the AX65 was the only power source connected, I double-checked the polarity, pressed the override button, and was thrilled to see the vehicle lights come on. I went inside, pressed the start button, and the 5.2-liter supercharged engine roared to life without hesitation!Curious to see how the air pump would perform on other vehicles, I tested it on a Mercedes AMG GTR Pro. It inflated the tire from 10 to 38 PSI in just under 2 minutes. On a Toyota Corolla, it filled a tire from 6 to 33 PSI in under a minute.Today, after lunch, I noticed a group of people gathered around a car with the hood open—they were waiting for someone with jumper cables. I offered to help with the AX65. There was some initial skepticism, but after a quick connection, the car started instantly. Everyone was impressed and wanted to know what device it was.As for air output, the fastest portable I have found for off-roading is the large and heavy Smittybilt 2781 (have sent back to Amazon others that did not live up to their specs). It draws 45 amps when running (turn off the A/C while using it). It fills a 37” tire from 18 to 37 PSI in around 3 minutes. I’m honestly impressed that the NOCO AX65 offers comparable performance in a much smaller, more portable form factor, AND battery powered. In my experience, most portable compressors can't keep up with the AX65.Charging the AX65 is also impressive. I use a SOOPII 100W USB-C cable with an LED display that shows power delivery. The AX65 charges at around 60W—faster than any other portable device I own (aside from a laptop) and 2–4x faster than my iPhone or iPad.It also comes with a couple of attached adopter plugs for bicycle valves and for “balls”. It pumps up my mountain bike tires in just a few seconds. The flashlight is bright and came in handy the other day when I had forgotten to bring a flashlight and needed light in a crawl space. The AX65 worked just fine as a flashlight as well.Overall, the NOCO Boost AIR AX65 is a well-made, high-performance device. I now own two of them because I don’t want to be without one when I need a jump or air.Highly recommended.

Beyond Jump Starting: The Versatile NOCO AX65
The NOCO AX65 impresses with its potent jump-starting capabilities and integrated air compressor, a testament to premium design. Its hefty 10-pound frame, while sturdy, limits backpack portability. NOCO's renowned one-year warranty and exceptional customer support solidify its reliability. A standout feature is the bright integrated light, adding significant utility in emergencies. As a long-time NOCO user, I wholeheartedly endorse this device. Though a pass-through power supply would be beneficial for low-battery situations, the AX65 remains a dependable and versatile tool, perfect for anyone needing a powerful jump starter and inflator.

Short cheap separate cables and no hard case ruin this brand name product.
I WANT TO LOVE IT... but poor design ruins it.Trust me, I want nothing more than to love this NOCO air/charger combo. I bought it because NOCO should be the best, right? Sadly I keep going back to my bigger, less powerful, cumbersome DeWalt, because it's just DESIGNED better. It's like they made a nice powerful little device for NOCO but forgot any kind of usability testing:1 - unlike all competing units, crazily the battery cables are NOT EVEN HOOKED UP TO IT. They are separate (and SHORT) cables that are flimsy, and you have to plug them in. They are loose, stored separately, and don't wrap around any kind of cable holder on the unit like EVERY OTHER MODEL OUT THERE. Who thought this up?2 - flimsy cloth storage bag. So, you're $300 deluxe air/battery charger from NOCO doesn't even come with a nice hard case (which wouldn't even be necessary if they properly stored their cables ON the device), but they gave you a .99 cent cloth bag to try and shove it all in, including loose cables and adapters. At least give us a hard case NOCO if you're not going to properly design the cables to attach to the unit...3 - no carry handle. As all the other reviewers have mentioned, it's slippery, you have nothing to grab on to.I WANT TO LOVE IT. But having these cables constantly sliding out of a bad cloth bag in your trunk, short cables that you can't use, and no handle, really ruin this unit. You're better off with the DeWalt or RYOBI units that have figured all of this out already.FIX IT NOCO! Give us a handle, integrated charge cables (seriously, can't believe this part), and a hard case. Maybe their v2 will be better. Fingers crossed.

Excellent quality, but with some design issues.
Bought this on sale on Amazon. I currently have the NOCO GB40 jump starter and it's great. If I keep the new unit, I'll give the GB40 to my girlfriend for emergency use. I've had it for about 4 years, and it's jump started several vehicles, including mine. I thought I'd get this unit because it's an inflator and jump starter in one.Pros:1. Excellent quality build and it's all one unit. I'm confident that the starter and inflator would work fine based on my experience with their other product.Cons:1. A bit heavy and bulky as other reviewers have stated.2. Not a great design for the inflator cable management. The end of the inflator tends to come off very easily, which is frustrating.3. For the price, I wish NOCO would include a hard case instead of just a flimsy nylon bag.
