Don't open the box just put it in the bin!
The reviews that say this thing doesn't catch any flies are only half right.Living in an estate near a river in summer I get a lot of annoying small flies coming in- I don't know exactly what they are fruit flies, gnats, midges, or mosquitos etc ... irritating tiny little bitey things anyway.I've left it on last night and also found that there are none inside when I checked it this morning. So, tonight I left the light on and curtains open to do a test.After about half an hour there were a load of flies on the roof around the light so I plugged this 'fly trap' into a USB power bank and went mobile with it basically holding it up to suck up all the flies from around the light. It doesn't really have that great airflow so I had to get it really close before they got sucked in rather than just fly off around the house. So after sucking up most of the ones that hadn't flown off (ready to eat me alive later on I bet) I was slightly bemused- is it just that before they hadn't got close enough to get sucked in? No ... they were just able to crawl out of the holes. This thing is full of holes! The holes in the cage area are one thing but theres also a huge gap between the fan and the case which they were also crawling out of. And yes because I was holding it they were all being blown up my arm towards my face. Yum yum yum lunch time!So, the reviews that say this thing doesn't catch any flies are only half right- it does occasionally catch things but most of the time they will just walk right out of jail! I haven't seen any big moths or house flies since it arrived yesterday but I suspect that anything big enough to not be able to crawl out wouldn't be sucked in.And the noise??? Its basically just a PC case fan and not a particularly good one at that so it is pretty loud. I did originally have it in the bedroom yesterday but I moved it into the living room because it was too loud. I had been considering replacing the fan with a much quieter one today, but just having done this test now there is no point.Only decision now is do I bother to try to get a refund or just save the hastle and put it in the bin.

Not a bug zapper !!!!!!
I ordered it and sent it back the very day it was delivered, cannot for the life of me see how this or or any of the other products which are similar to it will work.The vacuum it creates is not strong enough to pull tissue paper the light is a subtle ambient at best so wouldn’t attract a moth let alone a fly!! Then if the said pest somehow out of curiosity fell into the trap it would simply crawl out. I don’t write many negative reviews but this product has had zero R&D put into it.I can only assume the positive reviews are about a Electrical version this company sells.

Brilliant
Its very effective at killing mosquitoes and its high tech brilliant quality and its just like a machine sutible for any environment and very useful if the weather is hot

Fancy but doesn't work
Looks fancy, but doesn't actully work also noisy especially in the bedroom

Avoid it like the flies do.
Doesn’t work. The fan is too loud so flies are always scared off. Worse than a chocolate teapot.

Prompt service, product doesn't work.This is the warmest summer I can remember, and the air is full on little critters. Device has inly caught 2 in 2 days. Device left on all day and night.

Total waste of money
Does Not catch the flies in the daytime or at night ! We have even put honey in the bottom to attract the flies in but its still not catching anything !Total waste of money !

Funktioniert nicht.
Das Gerät ist nicht zu gebrauchen. Die Mücken fliegen munter durch das Zimmer und stechen nach belieben. Es hat nicht eine den Weg in die Falle gefunden.

Nicht geeignet für Gelsen.
Es landen nur kleine Fliegen im Behälter. Die Gelsen werden jedoch nicht vom Licht angezogen. Schade!

Moskito Killer
Dieses Mückenschutzmittel wurde von meinem Freund gesehen und ich kaufte es, als ich mich großartig fühlte.Sehr nett und sehr hilfreich.Nicht nur gutaussehend, sondern auch sehr effektiv.Seit ich es gekauft habe, benutze ich es jede Nacht.Sorgen Sie sich nie um Moskitos, Sie können jeden Tag gut schlafen.

Einige Mücken töten Effekte, aber der Klang ist ein bisschen laut, wenn Sie nachts schlafen.
Das Wetter ist in letzter Zeit sehr heiß und die Fenster sind oft geöffnet, so dass Moskitos in das Haus fliegen. Ich möchte also ein kleines Objekt kaufen, das Moskitos töten kann. Nach der Anwendung ist es akzeptabel, Moskitos zu induzieren, aber Sie müssen es für eine lange Zeit verwenden. Gleichzeitig hat es nicht die Funktion von Elektroschockmücken, sondern zieht durch Licht nur Moskitos an und verlässt sich dann auf die Kraft des Lüfters, um die Mücken in den Käfig zu saugen. Das hat seine Vorteile, weil das Gitter für kleine Kinder gefährlich ist. Außerdem habe ich aufgrund des heißen Wetters die Basis entfernt und es als kleinen elektrischen Ventilator ausprobiert. Wenn Sie interessiert sind, können Sie es auf diese Weise versuchen, und der Effekt ist in Ordnung.
