TomTom Golfer 2 SE - GPS Golf Watch with Shot Detection - Black/Green

I have it all set up, ready to use in the spring. Still snow here. I have the older version of the Tom Tom watch, so not a huge learning curve to set up and use the new one. Looking forward to using the shot length feature that the older model did not have

Love the shot detection feature and hazard recognition . Getting the watch on and off my wrist can be a hassle?I love that it displays the time in digital numbers and I have taken to wearing it even when not on the course!!!!

As a GPS this is a good unit, distances are good and the displays of hazards make club selection easy.Downside -- shot counter registers "putting your driver into the bag as a shot",- manually input putts don't get transferred to the analysis app.,- all drives are registered so the short par 3's pull the stats out of line- TomTom have been aware of problems for 4 months- TT just hung up on me when I asked what they were going to do- TT are leaving (left?) the wearables market and comments indicate they are "selling off stock"? - so no real customer supportBest not to buy - mine is being returned

This is my first golf watch, which I purchased having read a review in a golfing magazine, and as someone who is onto his third TomTom Satnav device. The Satnav has such a clean display and simplicity of use which always seems far easier to use than ones which I encounter in hire cars, so I felt confident that the display and function of the watch was likely to match the Satnav and that has been my experience.Setup involves loading thousands of golf course via computer, downloading app to smartphone for later pairing and syncing and then you are on your way.Difficult, to explain in detail, but the watch finds the course, identifies distances, registers shots and in real-time you can see how far you hit the ball...watch vibrates, and then when you walk towards the ball the distance registers, at same time as GPS recognises you are getting closer to green. So real-time scoring is straightforward(you count puts separately).At end of round you pair and sync with smartphone which gives graphics of each hole and distances of each shot.I am not necessarily convinced it makes me play golf better, but I find it definitely helps with club selection e.g wedge vs 9-iron and gives my partners a break from being constantly asked by me, how far to the front. middle or back of the green!Base on 2 months experience of this device, I would highly recommend it.

A good purchase, value for money, accurate and easy to use. Picks up new course quite quickly.Make sure you take it out of watch strap up charge it. Could do with better instructions with it .

I like the watch and it gives me information I want BUT I would have given it 5 stars if it recorded every shot, when I tee off I have to remember to cover the face to record the shot, as it is not always recorded. I like to review my game at the end of a round but if the shot is not detected you don't know how far you hit the ball.

Good quality product, really helps my golf in enabling me to judge distances and making the right golf club selection. Pleased that the watch strap is detachable, I have a previous Tom Tom unfortunately the strap wasn't detachable, the strap broke by the watch when just two weeks out of warranty - unfortunately despite seeking advice, I was unable to find a solution.
