Great little piece of kit for the price.I'd never heard of the brand before and was half expecting it to blow my car up, but a work colleague recommended this and so I got one.Came very quickly and I plugged it in to check it out.It worked very well.I plugged in my Samsung Galaxy S3 and it had charged over 10% in the 15 minute journey to work.I then used it on an extended journey down to Cornwall, plugged into the same phone with GPS on navigating my way down. As GPS drains battery like nobodies business this thing kept my phoned topped up well. It's battery level kept the same most of the way, slightly increasing by a few percent by the end of the journey.I think this is rather impressive considering the amount of battery GPS takes out of your phone...Would recommend to anyone looking for an in-car USB charger.Be warned though, as some other users have pointed out, when charging a device this seems to interfere with your car radio, causing some to a lot of static.

Extremely cheap and fairly cheerful. I think it cost me £1.58. Some reviewers have remarked this car charger isn't long enough to reach the contact point in the car socket but it does so in mine (a 2005 Mondeo). However, it is not a snug fit so the charger tends to wobble from side to side, thereby disconnecting the charging. You can see this as the indicator light on the charger then goes out. I can get round this by stuffing a bit of tissue paper round the top of the charger. This downside might be as much to do with my Mondo's particular socket as the charger. So it does work. Only had it a few days so can't comment on its longevity. But there again, for the dirt cheap price I can't really complain if it only lasts a few months.

Bought this from Digiflex, for use in my car (toyota avensis, 2nd gen) to charge my mobile phone (huawei g300).First problem, the adapter is rather short. This causes problem because it would not make proper contact in the cigarette lighter slot. I have to push the adapter in quite forcefully and move it around until the blue light comes on. But slightest movement will then cause a disconnection. I had use other cigarette adapters before (from air pumps to sat nav charger), no problem, but this USB Car Charger Adapter simply doesn't fit correctly.Second problem, when I do get adapter to lit up, and connected to my mobile phone, it causes interference with my car radio. Basically, the car radio would emit a very audible buzzing and hissing sound. So, I've to turn off the radio if I want to use the charger.Third problem, despite the 2.1A output, when charging a android mobile phone, the phone identified the charger as USB charger (not AC). This means that the android phone will only draw a low current (about 0.5mA) and charges very very slowly. What's the point of having a charger that can output 2.1A but not wired it so that android phones can identify it as an AC charger.Overall a very disappointing product. Will not recommend, go buy something else.

I didn't expect too much from this USB adapter as it's so cheap, but ordered it one day and it arrived the next so have to give 5 stars for service. It's quite a bit bulkier than my old USB adapter, but the old one needed to be fiddled with to get it in the right place to make good contact in the socket, and then had to check the phone periodically to make sure it was still charging. The indicator light on this one leaves you in no doubt that it has good contact with the socket and therefore that the connected device is charging. At this price I won't mind too much if it needs replacing in 6 months time. Fantastic value. I ease it slightly out of the socket when not in use at night as the light is quite bright (only a problem for sockets placed high on the dashboard).

For us it works well because we also have another double charger socket that this works with. Other reviews were very useful in that some car/lorry charging ports are deeper than others. This will not work in some of the deeper ones but we purchased being aware of this potential problem. We needed this for the usb port for use with a sat nav. For this is works very well. When there is a deep charging socket we use this adapter into the double charger (can charge phone at same time time if required) so have no problem and it works well. For shallow charging ports this goes in directly and works perfectly. We would recommend but advise, check if your charging socket is an appropriate depth for this to function.

This works wonderfully, it doesn't get hot and it happily charges a tablet and phone. It has a snazzy blue indicator light to let you know that it's receiving power too and despite the brightness it doesn't bother me at night, in fact it's nice to know it's functioning and supplying power to my gadgets! My only gripe is that it doesn't sit flush in the cigarette lighter but about a centimetre higher and this stops me closing the cover to the cigarette lighter.Some people bemoan the fact that it doesn't fit in some sockets. I've tried this in a 07 Astra, 04 Nissan Nivara, a 2012 Nissan Juke and a 09 Renault Megane, all without issue.Its great for the price.

Most cars these days still come fitted with only one charging socket and this is normally the enormous circular socket that used to be called the cigarette lighter adaptor. A lot of today's portable electronic devices come equipped with one variety or another of charging socket which will mate with the ubiquitous USB socket. This handy little device plugs into your car's charging socket and gives you 2 USB sockets to play with. Effective and simple. One little grouse though, the sockets are illuminated by a couple of very bright LED's. Not a problem on a bright sunny day, but depending on where your charging socket is located, they could be distracting while night driving. However it's nothing that a bit of insulating tape can't mask.
