Laing P-04S (P-03/P-04 Upgrade) 2015 New 1-15kg Pro Carbon Fiber Stabilizer for Video Camera DSLR

Having done a lot of research and looked at reviews of a number of stabilisers I opted for the Laing P-04S. This is an improved version of the Laing P-04. At this price it is excellent value. It is extremely well made And relatively easy to balance once you use the right technique. I have one slight niggle. The knob for locking the forward and backwards movement of the quick release plate is not round but is lever shaped and when you tighten this it tends to knock the balance off a little and you need to allow for this. Otherwise I cannot fault it.

I've never used a glidecam but after weeks of use I can see the results from the laing p-04 are pretty comparable to glidecam. I don't think the gimbal is as good as the glidecam from the research ive done but i'd say the quality of the P-04 is worth the price.

Fantastic piece of kit, blows away the competition in terms of features and price. The HD4000 is archaic in comparison.

This is by far the best addition to my filmmaking kit (apart from the essentials ie. Camera and Mic).I have been using this for a little while now with my Canon 60D and have got some very promising results. It takes a little time to get balanced and get used to using (as is with most stabilisers), but once you have got past this gruelling task then the outcome is most definitely worth it.I have got some great shots both walking and running and it can be used in so many situations to get some really fancy shots. If you extend the boom pole right down to the bottom you can also use it as a monopod if you are on a tight deadline and want to be able to adapt to different situations in a hurry.To sum up I am very pleased with this product and look forward to see what Laing come up with in the future to improve on this already perfect stabiliser.
