The video they have of the man installing this rack is incorrect. I will upload a video of proper instillation. This is the second roof rack of purchased on Amazon over the last year because we sold our last vehicle. The other one was $180 and this one was just over a hundred bucks and this one is way better quality! Literally everything about this one is better quality. The number one reason I chose this one is the mounting brackets. The last one I had and just like many others on Amazon the bolts were protruding upward in the storage area and anything I put on the roof rack would get cut up and slowly destroying everything up there. My cooler has big giant scratches all over the bottom, not just surface scratches. This one you can put a table in it and it won't touch any bolts or threads it's perfectly flat. The other one I received when I was inspecting inside the tubing before putting it together there was already surfaced rest forming! This one was perfect and absolutely no raw metal showing everything was coated. The previous one I caulked all of the ends before putting it together to help prevent rust but this one I did not see it necessary as everything was coated perfectly.

We needed more storage for the long vacations and after seeing the price I was not sure if it was gonna be a good fit. After installing with the Amazon basics crossbars the fit was pretty easy to get and installing was much easier than other roof racks and kayak racks I’ve had. I’m happy with the quality and how much you can put in the bag. I can take the rack off by myself with no issues due to how light it was. Good sturdy and supports a lot for how cheap it was to purchase.

I gave 4 stars because straps, lock, net were not in the bag. I have not taken the bag out so I am assuming it is okay. I contacted seller this morning through Amazon for replacement items. I will change it to 5 stars if they come through. I haven't driven since putting it on but I will go on some bumpy roads and then tighten the screws down again. Overall, great product for the price. Also, it is spot welded but looks like it should hold up fine. A few noticable scratches due to the ties they used in packaging but that's not a big deal to me, it may be to others.

Once it put together it is very sturdy. The instructions are not very clear so I would recommend coming back to these photos of it to figure out how to put it together. All and all I recommend it for the low price.

I decided on this set since I felt it offered good value for the items included. Setting this up by myself took about 40 minutes and I’m not very handy. The rack feels solid and container is secure with the provided straps. Quick spray with the water hose and confirmed there was no water leakage either. Took this on a weekend trip with no issues. Passengers don’t feel as cramped inside now with the expanded storage space.

A good product!

One of the four main slip-together joint ends was bent and I had a heck of a time trying to bend it approximately back into place so that I could fasten all four connection points (I opted not to use the center section, since it’s going on a smaller sedan (1999 Camry). The packaging was not damaged in any way so I know it was bent somewhere in the manufacturing process. All of the hardware that came with the rack looks excellent and fits/works perfectly . I would have left five stars if I did not spend so much of my own time dealing with the one bent slip-in tube end. Frustrating in that it seems to otherwise be an excellent product.
