works well in a small enviornment
The lamp is slightly bigger than I thought. It works really well on our balcony. You can hear the zap sound of killing mosquitos while using this lamp outside. It works really well on a summer night, enjoying a beer outside with friends without having to be eaten alive by mosquitos. I worry about the chemicals of bug spray. So this lamp works really well. I have used it several times since I got it, and haven't got bitten since. The only thing is that you have to plug it on the wall, it would be great if it can be powered by a battery, which will increase the mobility of this lamp. All in all, a good gadget to have.

Good for Gnats
I've had this zapper in use since September 30, 2019.It's on 24/7 with the original bulb still,(watch it burn out tomorrow LOL). The bulb that it uses is a F6T5/BL. The BZ only uses 6 Watts.I have it hanging in my basement because I have a bit of a gnat/fruit fly issue down there.This product does a great job at dealing with them. Check out the photos, also there's a few mosquitoes too amongst the zapped.Now with the common household fly I find this zapper doesn't do too well with them.Yes they get zapped but it's more like it stuns them. It gives them a wake-up call, what was that! Then as they try to figure a way out they get zapped again, eventually learning this is a bad place to be.Some may escape or get killed. Others lose their ability of flight and are just crawling around in the zapper.

Doesn't kill mosquitos
I wish I did more research before buying this product. Mosquitos are not attracted to the light. They are mainly attracted to carbon dioxide. (See mosquitoes dot org for a lot of good information). It has been running for a week and has not caught a single mosquito.

Not good with flies
It works on fruit flies and mosquitoes, does not work on regular flies

Not good, would not buy.
Product has not done what was promised. Mosquitoes are not attracted to the light and it has not killed any mosquitoes. I think it is a total waste of money.

Nice product , perfect for summer time
My daughter has sensitive skin , every time after mosquitoes bite , it would be very big red spot and swpollen . I got this product last Saturday, and used it immediately. It looks quite good as I thought . Hope this will help the little one have a better summer time .will recommend for friends .

seller promised to send new zapper. lets see
i bought one to kill bugs especially mosquitoes. bulb lasted 4 days. seller said he would send a replacement, nice. when i receive it i will write an update. i like the way it looks in my room. real nice. i hope i get the replacement and i hope it works well. seller responded immediately. i received replacement zapper. so far all is well. thanks to the seller for being prompt in his response and sending me a new one, if it lasts for a while ...it is great !

Works great
I had no way of closing my garage this summer for I was getting new doors installed. Spending time in my garage this summer was horrible for mosquitoes took over, I would get new bites every time I was in there. My new doors were installed and I left this in the garage overnight. I was excited for a little pay back, and I was not disappointed. There much have been 15-20 of the little blood suckers dead inside the next morning. Very happy with my purchase, seems well build, larger then expected. Silent too.
