Royalsell Solar Fountain Pump, Free Standing 1.4W Bird Bath Fountain Pump for Garden and Patio, Solar Panel Kit Water Pump (Classic)

This replaced an electric powered pump that I had in our birdbath. The original pump was always clogged (we have a lot of pollen, bird activity AND pine needles around here) which often required me disassembling everything so I could unwire it. This pump is MUCH easier to clean and as there are no wires I just lift it out without any challenges. I did make the mistake of putting our birdbath near a tree which does limit the fountain spray the after about 3PM or so, when the sun is blocked but when it is at full power the pump more than makes up for it, and is keeping the water much clearer. Works GREAT! HOWEVER, today is VERY windy. It caused the spray to empty the huge birdbath down to 2 inches in a matter of a few hours. It is now weighted with a chain in the very center, and we are using the tiniest of spray heads. I imagine on a non~windy day it would have been fine with the beautiful taller spray. With the wind we get, it will have to be the little one. It is wonderful!

Great little fountain. Needs direct light on the actual black disk part to work. Otherwise it just kind of spits. It floats and will float over to the side and just throw all the water out unless you attach it to something heavy I used a mason jar and a glass plate to get the right height and a good smooth surface for the suction cups. So if you want it to stay still it's easy to just weight it down.

Well, this does work, but, I am not sure where it will work best. Overall I feel the product's advertising was lacking, inaccurate and misleading. I bought it for my birdbath which is a normal sized birdbath. This Royalsell Fountain Pump product is a tricky uncontrollable product. So be aware, each and every nozzle size and type they give you with it - I have tried and each nozzel does work, but, all of the nozzles spray water way way way up, high into in the air with too much force. It was spraying/squirting /shooting water up and out over the side of the birdbath and got the flowerbed all wet. It could only float on top of the water and so the pump being overly powered floats itself to the side of the round birdbath and sprays water up and outside the birdbath instead of gently spraying some water up and back down within the birdbath. The pump has tiny little suction cups underneath which are totally inadequate for holding in place in the birdbath bowl so it just floats to the side of the birdbath bowl! I tried to use a few rocks in the bowl to keep it in place which worked (but looked dumb in my new birdbath) and I found that even the smallest nozzle provided still squirted water crazily high ! One has to laugh when they see it working. This product would seem to be only suited for floating around in a swimming pool squirting water for fun as the too powerful pump keeps floating it like a speedboat to the farthest shore! My recommendation is only buy this for a swimming pool - even then, be aware it will float to one side of the pool and squirt water on the pool deck too.

It soars when sunny out. Very nice and priced accordingly. The only drawback is you need to make sure it is submerged with sufficient water as the water does dissipate while spraying. Still love it but not sure my feathered friends are pleased. Will be patient.

This little fountain is so cute. I don't use the extenders just the top part, so it bubbles more than squirts. Mine works wonderfully, would recommend. It is small though and don't think it would be that great in a pool. Great for small containers, bird baths, etc.

I purchased this to circulate the water in a small birdbath. It works fine but only when the unit is in direct sun. It doesn’t store any solar energy for use when it goes into shade. My birdbath is rather small and all the spray units shot the water so high it was watering the lawn and needed refilling often. So I took the sprayers off and just let it bubble up through the stem. Problem solved.
