Mixed review, some good some bad
Bought it to keep bugs out of my Portacool. It was pretty easy to install and seems to keep the cooler from smelling like dead fish. My only problem is with the L brackets that attach the frame to the top. The instructions were not very clear on how to install them, but it looks like you are intended to install the L bracket with the PVC clip on the top. That holds the frame out about an inch from the pads on the top and the bottom cants out about 4 inches on the bottom. Placing the clips on the bottom works better better, but the L brackets stick out at eye level and are a little dangerous looking and the bottom drops into the molded slots in the top of the tank. Now the filter lays flat on the pads and seems more bug tight. That said, if the fan is run on low speed water from the pads leeches into the filter material and drips on the floor under the back edge. Running it on high, the air flow sucks the water back into the pads and it is OK. If the filter does not touch the pads though, the system is not bug tight. What it needs, and I am going to make, is a plastic flashing like the fan uses on the back of the pads to collect drips, but one that sticks out about 1.5 inches further and then have the frame rest on that to collect the drips back into the tank.

Make sure you can follow the directions to put together.
This is a great product but very challenging to put together especially when 3 PVC T's that are needed to put it together were missing from the items shipped. Make sure you pull the filter material as tight as possible but not over stretching when zip tying to pvc frame since filter material does stretch some after putting on port a cool as the air pulls thru it. We did have to trim some of the excess material from the inside to keep away from cooling pads but leaving about 2 inches so filter material does not pull thru where it is zip tied to pvc frame. Great product and does catch lots of dust and bugs. It would be great to have instructions as to how to clean the filter material as it collects dust in a dusty environment.

$12 worth of parts
It's just a loose filter with PVC pipes and zip ties. You can build it yourself a lot cheaper.

Filter for Port-A-Cool is an absolute must
If you live in areas with lots of cottonwood trees, you will need this filter to keep your evaporative media from plugging up. A little bit of a pain to install because the pipe couplings are placed where they interfere with screws in the frame, but not a problem to modify.

What I got isn't what I expected. Need to show a picture of what you actually get. That might be helpful and eliminate confusion.
