Good Quality Instrument
It has been about 1 week since the purchase of this Panasonic phone. So, far, it has been a good experience. The sound is loud enough. It has good quality buttons. When the phone was connected to the phone line, there was blinking on the caller id display, and that went away when I set the date and time according to the instructions booklet which comes along with the phone. So it is all good now. The cons: the display is small, so the digits are small. You have to come very close to the top of the screen to see the caller's id. Also, it would be better if they could provide the provision of installing battery so that the screen would backlit for incoming call. Now, you have to first put the room's lights on in order to see the caller's number. It is quite easy to set or reset the date and time though. Overall, a good quality phone. My earlier Binatone phone (also brought through amazon), which was much cheaper than this one, started making bleep sounds within 40 days of switching to Airtel Broadband/landline connection from MTNL connection. It was working well on MTNL connection. That is why I just replaced that with a reputed company's phone. Hope this Panasonic phone still keeps working fine as it has been so far. And I hope that this review helps.

Good, but could be better
Works quite well. Only problem is that its receiver sometimes slips off the hook, when mounted on the wall

... who is a senior citizen and one who finds comfortable using landline phones to make calls
I bought this phone for my mother who is a senior citizen and one who finds comfortable using landline phones to make calls. So it meets my needs: high ringing volume, caller ID support, missed call indication and call log memory. With no battery required, it was an added plusInitially I did go through lots of models and reviews. I was sure not to go for cordless phones after coming to know about the harm due to the radiation it emits. Then I was very much impressed about the design of Gigaset, but after checking with their support team I came to know it's not recommended for home usage because of low ringing volume (in fact they are intended for office environment). Similarly with higher models of Panasonic. Therefore I finalized this model. But I was skeptical regarding the design of the phone (based on the photo displayed here and also in Panasonic website) because I am one person who factors this criteria very much. Surprisingly it didn't disappoint me and indeed it looks good and sleek (than what you see here). As a suggestion to Panasonic (in this model)... there can be an address book facility for at least 20 contacts. By this way, we need not dial the numbers every time or pick from the dialed list. I think technologically it would be possible to have such a storage option (like a SIM card in mobile phones) that doesn't need batteries to make it work. That said, the problem with the seller is, they haven't written my name and address in the warranty card. When I checked with the local service center, they told me they won't consider warranties of online purchases. So if at all any problem arises, they asked me to come through Panasonic for which I have to contact Amazon.

Best landline instrument
Panasonic landline phones are always the best . This model is also great .. Good sound quality, speakerphone, soft-feel buttons and a solid build are all good features for this price .. Only complaint is that the font in caller ID display is too small. A little bigger font would have given it a 5 star ..

Very good corded phone with great build, and solid features.
Pros- Solid build, looks it will serve for life long- No battery required to store phone numbers. As long as the cable is plugged in - the numbers are stored- Handset clarity is good. Vocal tone is balanced and sounds natural.- The handset volume is good, and I could hear the caller very well.- Speakerphone is great, and the mic was able to pickup my voice properly. I never needed to shout, and bend down near the mic to speak as with the older model. This one is perfect!- Digital display is good, if not spectacular.Cons- If remove unplug the Telephone line, all data saved is lost.- Depending on your telecom provider (BSNL or AIrtel) the caller ID may display additional numbers. Redialling requires editing the number.- No LEDs in the digital display. Cumbersome to verify the dialled number, if placed in a dark corner of the room.Concluding- The Panasonic quality, good speakerphone, no-battery and clear audio - all packed into this corded phone. Should last life-long. I am happy with my purchase.

no satisfied with the phone.
no satisfied with the phone. The phone set is sturdy and robust. No problem with sound quality. But the following problems: 1. difficult to read incoming number on the screen because screen is flat and small. You have to ogle in the screen so that u may see the incoming number. 2. The volume of speaker in the receiver is very high and piercing the ears if you hold close. The set does not have any button to reduce this speaker volume. 3. The buttons are not good, rubber type and have to press hard in order to dial the number. 4. 3 levels of ringer volume, even the medium level is very high. in the lowest level there is no volumes at all.
