Zulu Atlas Glass Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve

I've been looking around for good ways to improve health and have discovered that the water we drink is commonly tainted with traces of heavy metals, toxins, pesticides, bacteria, residual personal care products, etc. So I started drinking more filtered water, which was great, but then I discovered that many times the plastic from water bottles slowly degraded and leeched chemicals/toxins into the drinking water (yes, even BPA-free plastics...). This led me to look for glass water bottles as it is the safest material to drink from (metal water bottles can be okay, but it depends on the metal as aluminum can leech quickly while stainless steel does a pretty good job...glass has the best bet though). Given that I had been drinking out of a plastic "BPA-free" water bottle for the past four years or so, I decided it was probably high time that I actually do something about it. Therefore I ordered this glass water bottle with fingers crossed.When I found this water bottle, I was concerned that it might be too small, too fragile, and too inconvenient or awkward for drinking, but all of those concerns were mitigated once it arrived.At 20oz, it was a smaller volume than I was used to, but that ended up being a hidden benefit as it keeps me active as I have to keep filling it up. After washing it out, there was no funny taste to the water (as I had been finding with my water bottle and even my steel water bottle), and the wide-mouth design for drinking is perfect for me to chug the whole container quickly while filling it up so that I can drink as fast or slow as I want. Its sleek, slim and stylish design definitely gave it an aesthetically-pleasing look which only helped my opinion of the product. The thin design fits super well in my hand and I find myself tossing it from hand to hand often as the ergonomic grip and silicone sleeve make it feel like it 'sticks' to my hand.The one main thing about this water bottle that I was concerned about was the durability, but the thick glass design and silicone sleeve has made this water bottle quite resistant to any damage due to sudden impact. I've dropped it a few times in the short while that I've had it and there have been no qualms regarding its strength or durability. Seems to be quite impervious to damage, although knowing me and my tendencies to overuse and wear out products quick, I might still find a way to break it haha...but I haven't yet! I'll update the post if anything like that ever happens.Flip-up lid is quite nice and makes a soft 'pop' sound each time it opens (likely due to the pressure difference from temperature) which sure is fun, but you can prevent that by slowly releasing the lid instead of letting it release quickly. Lock option is pretty airtight in my opinion and I've had no issues with it (and I've jostled it quite a bit while using the lock). Looks super sweet and does everything I need it to do.Overall, great product, great design, great usability. I imagine I'll be using this for years to come, unless they come out with a 32oz or bigger version, as I have been known to drink over a gallon most days haha....many thanks for the team at Zulu for sharing this product!

Dude. It's a no-brainer. Writing reviews can be a hassle; this product demanded it from me. I had previously used a glass bottle, I believe Yoimus or something. It got mold in the plastic thread very quickly. I've found that the threading for the caps generally houses mold. THIS COMPLETELY BYPASSES THAT. It's incredible. If I make a drink with a lot of sugar and forget to rinse it for multiple days, it will stink. A dab of soap and 4x rinse in under 5 minutes completely wipes it out, and if the drink is sugar free and I just rinse when empty, I've literally never had to use soap one time. Always smells perfect. And it even came smelling nearly perfect. Most come with a hint of strange plastic or something. Not this one. It had THE ABSOLUTE FAINTEST hint of a whiff of a whiff of strawberries. I use this bottle 4x a week for about 2 months now. It has tanked one 3-foot drop onto rock solid flooring. I also threw it at my locker instead of into it once, pretty hard. Zero damage. The outer silicone is very thick in the right spots. The Yoimus one (spelling) had a 3-millimeter layer of silicone that probably wouldn't do anything. This bottle can actually tank drops, ESPECIALLY onto flat surfaces that can't "crit" and stab between the silicone like if you were hiking a mountain. It still would have good odds surviving a drop on rocks, and you probably couldn't break it if you tried against woods floors. It's so legit. It only holds 19.5oz of beverage, and it's fairly heavy, and if you shake it vigorously I do believe that it will leak due to the plugging action of the lid (absolutely will not leak at all during normal use whatsoever) wiggling around slightly. But this bottle does everything perfectly with fair and proper use and even goes WAY above and beyond with the locking mechanism and one-button action. Speaking of which, the amount of pressure on the button needed to release the cap is perfect and I don't even bother using the lock for that reason. And then even the carrying strap is firmly mounted and has a little silicone nub to make carrying it more comfortable and wear-proof. It's just oozing with quality, and there's a bit of genius to it. And I forgot to mention that they're selling it at the same freakin' price as that junky Yoimus bottle. It's worth $30. This is absolutely, hands down, the one. 6 stars. Thanks Zulu ❤️

Got two of these for my husband and I, and they are working great! Love the size for fitting into most cup holder spaces. The neck could have been a little bigger, as it will have to be washed with a long bristle brush, might be a pain to clean if you are drinking anything other than water with it. The locking feature is nice for no spills, the suction closure is super nice, even gives a little champagne pop when I open , so the seal works great. I love the color and so far the durability. I can definitely recommend this item

Glass bottle for great taste and easy cleaning. Fits in the car cup holder, push button top is lockable to prevent accidental spills. Silicone jacket reduces the chance of accidental breakage

This is my second Zulu water bottle. I had the first one for seven years without losing it and despite being dropped multiple times, but I finally dropped it on its lid, which necessitated the replacement. These bottles are very rugged and take a lot of tumbles thanks to the thick glass and rubber sheathing. You won't be disappointed with this bottle. I take mine everywhere I go during my day. Just remember to take the rubber sheath off now and then to wash it as well as the glass.

I love glass bottles and these are very durable!I personally didn’t like how small these were and prefer the larger ones so gave them to someone else. Definitely my favourite brand for glass water bottles.Had no issues with taste or smell.
