Do the bells and whistles do anything?
I've had this for a while before writing my review. I have some patellar tracking issues after a tibial plateau fracture almost ten years ago. I like to do BodyPump, a weightlifting class - squats are OK, lunges definitely are not, I don't do them. Walking up and down stairs, especially in heels, hurts. I was hoping this brace would help me position my patella during class, but I don't think it has much more than a psychological effect. It looks very heavy-duty though.Pros: it's sort of open at the back of the knee, so there's no extra fabric to bunch up and pinch like on my pull-on neoprene brace. You can adjust the tightness. The velcro seems strong. The brace keeps the joint warm (aka sweaty, but warm, which is nice).Cons: the cross straps, which I had hoped to adjust to put pressure on my patella, don't seem to do anything. The color scheme is ugly and masculine (IMO).When I work out I can still feel tension and/or light pain in my knee. I was hoping, of course, that this would be a magic device that would rid me of pain. No such luck. At least, it gives me an excuse to modify exercises and not think that other people are looking down on me for not doing it right (probably they are not paying attention/don't care, but spotlight effect). It does help keep the joint warm. I wear it sometimes, and other times I just wear KT tape, and they both seem about the same. So end verdict: meh.

Good customer service for return if needed
I really like this brace because it supports the patella and allows you to create your own compression level. However, the way it is made, the opening in the back and the way the edges are designed at the top and bottom, create abrasions and cause pain when you bend your knee. It helped a little when I wore a silk sleeve, did not cause the abrasions, yet still hurt. I can only and will only wear for heavy type work for a limited time. Would return yet out of window. UPDATED REVIEW: Upon seeing my review, the company contacted me to make sure I had what I needed. They offered to send another brace and/or get a refund. They were very diligent in their pursuit of making sure I had what I needed. They submitted a refund immediately. I would buy from them again.

I was surprised that this helped relieve my knee pain
I've had pain in my knees for years, especially my right knee cap. I can go a month or two with very little pain and then the pain comes back for months, especially when walking down stairs or doing lunges at the gym. I've even seen doctors, had x-rays, cortisone injection, etc. Nothing has helped until I tried this brace. I don't know why it works, but I've been using it every time I go to the gym for the past month and the pain in my knee has subsided. Now my knee doesn't even hurt as much when I'm walking around without the brace. This was the best 20 bucks I've spent in a long time and I'll probably buy another one for my other knee as well.

A nice alternative to a huge brace.
I like the support pretty well, especially since it doesn't make a big lump under my dress pants like a big professional brace does. However, my knee is almost beyond this type of support, so just today I went back to my big lumpy brace. I need a knee replacement since the kneecap is half worn away (gone). The support worked great for me until my knee went beyond the care the support could give. I would definitely recommend it though.

Wrap around support
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. 7/12/19: I bought this knee brace because my coworker had a similar product. I recently hurt my knee very badly and needed something with support. This brace wraps tightly around, with the criss-cross knee support straps. Sometimes, if it's too tight, it will pinch a little in the back of the knee, but it doesn't take much to readjust. I have been using this brace all week, and will continue to do so until I get my MRI.Edit 8/22/19: after almost daily use, one of the cross straps have lost their Velcro ability. I can get it to stay if I place it in a different location, but it doesn't stabilize as well. I was pretty disappointed as this was a wonderful product. Hopefully the manufacturer will stick with their promise of a 2 year product replacement guarantee.

Surprisingly good
I had been dealing with knee and leg pain for years. Saw the price of this knee brace and thought, why not. I bought one as a test and bought another as soon as I learned how well it works. I do anywhere from 5 to 12 miles a night walking through the hospital I work at and these braces have been a god send. It does take a bit of work to get them on, and strapped up properly, but they make a world of difference. It does however make it a bit difficult to sit in a chair, and you can forget about crouching. But other than that, they work and feel great. I can even wear it throughout my 12 hour shift without it becoming uncomfortable.

Much better than the Alpha Genial brace
Description and product images almost identical for these braces, so I bought one of each. The brace from AlphaGenial is significant shorter, might not fit everyone. Also, the Tengyes Direct brace has a line of padding at the very top (see the second picture), making it much more comfortable.

UPDATED REVIEW Be careful
This is not a one size fits all knee brace despite the listing. The price is great, the brace itself is well made and shipping was fast. I am keeping it for my husband but definitely make sure on size before you buy.********Customer service contacted me and even though I assured them I passed the knee brace on to my husband, they insisted on replacing with another knee brace that was larger. I received the brace (at no charge) and am happy to report that it fits well and stays in place. Excellent customer service to seek me out to replace.
