A well-made car charger, ideal to keep in the car for phone / device charging as required, being an older vehicle it has no USB ports at all, so good to cover both USB A & C in the same device, while also having the retractable cords for additional equipment.Plugged into the car lighter socket, I did find it a bit of struggle to get it into a position where it was plugged in and there was enough space for it to sit, as the car has a socket recessed into the ash tray, (1999 VW Golf Mk4) but once found the right position using the adjustable plug it comes straight on, good snug fit.Plugged my normal (magnetic) charging cable in and then the phone (A34 5G), trying both the USB A & C ports – the phone screen showed up as standard charging, not the claimed fast charging. This was only available via the retractable USB C cable, which shows up as ‘fast charging’Having ports of each type allows for more devices as they become necessary in the car, having both USB A & C available means you are covered for newer and older devices, as they gradually seem to be moving to USB C. The retractable cables pull out and retract without issue, with these being where the charging power is really available.It will be good to have on hand when the situation arises, though a shame the fast charging power is not available from the ports, just the built in cable.

This car charger from Yacaisi is excellent, but you need to be aware of its special features and choose it because of them.The key benefits are:1. Built-in retractable leads, one USB C and one lightning. This should cover most requirements for both you and your passengers. There are certainly still plenty of people out there who need the old style iPhone charger. Being retractable means these leads are very neat and will always be there when you need them.2. A decent amount of power is supplied, and the possibility of powering more than one device at a time.3. Two extra USB ports - one old USB A, one new USB C - enabling you to cover all eventualities.4. The end of the charger can be rotated upwards so that you can see the various leads and ports much more clearly. It also makes the device slightly less bulky.The drawbacks are:1. It is very chunky indeed . You can get much neater chargers, but of course they won’t have the built in leads.2. The amount of power supplied is not necessarily as great as some people will be looking for. The most power you’ll get from one outlet is 18 Watts. I’m fine with this but it’s something to check.3. The retractable leads are only 0.75m long. That’s fairly short, but it’s plenty to get by with a nearby device or to charge a device you’re not using.So all in all, I’m very happy with this. Just make sure you understand what you’re getting before you choose it.

I really like this car charger - it's such a simple concept and yet one of those where it just hadn't existed until now. The charger neatly plugs into the car cigarette lighter and provides a powerful fast charge for your devices. There's a good flexibility to the angle which you can set the device too and the retractable cables mean no hanging wires and general dashboard neatness when not in use - certainly none hanging over the steering wheel! It has a USB-C and Apple fire cable charging built in as retractable cables and then a secondary USB A and C slot where required for any extra devices. It gives a great Watt power off for effective fast charging and looks neat for a reasonable price so highly recommend this one.
