The best solution to BV
I am convinced this is the best, if not the safest, treatment for bacterial vaginosis. This is firsthand information from someone who tried the book’s remedy and had recurring BV. Sorry for the TMI, but I would like to share my experience.I was diagnosed with BV four months ago. My discharge smelled funky and more than usual, but I wasn’t sure if it was normal or something else because I’ve never had an infection of any kind, I think. As what anyone would do in such a situation, I turned to the internet for answers, and people suggested it might be BV. And they were right because the doctor confirmed it.The doctor prescribed an antibiotic, which I religiously took. The symptoms disappeared but after I got my period, surprise, surprise, the BV returned. I took the medication again and the infection was gone. But then a month later, after my next period, same discharge, same nasty smell. I got tired of relying on antibiotics, so I went online to find other solutions. That’s how I landed on this book.I followed the three-day treatment. It left me feeling fresh and clean, and the symptoms subsided almost instantly. My last period has come and gone. So far, so good. No signs of BV. I am hoping this will continue forever and ever.I think the best part about this remedy was that it brings balance back to your good and bad bacteria levels. The antibiotics were merely trying to kill the infection, which BV isn’t. It’s an imbalance. As it turns out, according to the author, the key to curing BV is maintaining a healthy balance between good and bad bacteria. So I guess the antibiotics were killing both the bad and good bacteria.Of course, advice from a professional is just as important. I myself wouldn’t count on the internet solely for health advice. The internet is a rich resource for compulsive hypochondriacs after all. It’s well-known for exaggerating health issues. Now that things are all good by the looks of things, I think it’s up to me to maintain that balance. I’ve been eating yogurt every day since about two weeks ago. I have this book to thank for giving healthy eating recommendations.Another thing I appreciate about the book is that it’s filled with information about women’s health. I think I’m now more aware of what I should and shouldn’t do to my body, not that I have multiple partners or anything, because I don’t. And my boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years.I was a little disappointed that the author didn’t talk more about the Kegel exercises, but that’s not what the book is about, is it? I did learn about other things I wasn’t expecting to read from a book about bacterial vaginosis. This is one of those books that have multiple purposes, even latent ones. I recommend it to all women suffering from the disease and anyone who wants to maintain optimal reproductive health.

Poorly written, not really helpful
I bought this book while in the middle of a BV infection. So I knew that if what this book said worked, my BV infection would be gone. The book itself lacked strong writing and had grammatical errors. But I wanted to look past that because it was the cure I was after. So I tried her first recommendation, and I have to say, the instructions were not thorough. I think she assumed that everyone has douched before. I had never done it. And rather than doing it over a toilet, she has you insert twice the amount of a regular-sized douche while lying down - never once recommending that you do this on top of a few towels, because you are going to have a large puddle underneath you. This may have been common sense to some, but seriously, more thorough directions were in order here.Furthermore, following her recommendations was extremely uncomfortable and even painful, to the point that I felt very weird in my vaginal area up to my lower abdominal area for days after I stopped the treatment. I felt sick. I couldn't do much walking because it hurt so bad. My husband considered taking me to the ER at one point. I just waited it out, as I didn't want a ridiculous bill just for someone to give me prescription-strength Motrin.I never made it the second step. If the hydrogen peroxide caused me that much trouble, I couldn't bear to think what the apple cider vinegar would do, considering how that burns your esophagus if it is not VERY diluted (50% just doesn't cut it). I didn't exactly care to try putting that in my you-know-what. I feared that it would sear my fallopian tubes or worse. It took me a week just to recover from step one. And the BV was still there, so I resorted to my trusted medicinal cream that I got from my doctor. I knew it would work.Once I did that treatment, I started taking multi-billion count probiotics designed to keep the vaginal flora in line. That's all BV is anyway - an overgrowth of the bad bacteria. Keep those little menaces in line and no more BV! Because I have been so prone to BV in the past, I actually take two probiotics - different brands. One in the morning, one in the evening. I really do believe that this has helped because not only has the BV not come back for months, but my husband has complimented how nice it smells down there.

Thank you for this educational book!
I found this E book after a battle with a UtI ( urinary tract infection) that mutated and took 3 different antibiotics including a series if injections. Finally a doctor in an urgent care said he thinks he knew what was the cause of the series of infections I was having, then I was diagnosed with BV. I used to be able to take a prescription called Actigel that no longer was available in the states. Finally after researching the internet it lead me to your informative book! I am a medic and thought I was pretty knowledgeable until I came face to face with BV. I was concerned about putting anything in vagianally. So I chose these remedies you suggested with the help of a holistic wellness counsellor. For nearly a week now I have been taking two kinds of pro biotics. One is called "healthy trinity" you Take for 14 days and "fem dopholis" . Also kyolic aged garlic with a Candida cleanse ( it comes with This formula )Also folic acid. I have also been drinking raw Apple cider vinegar by Braggs. Then because you mentioned the gel that kept me ph balanced more than a decade ago, I went on line and found it is still being made in the UK. I am.waiting to receive it. I am still on the road to recovery an in part I have you to thank and your informative book. I hope these additional suggestions help other women. I do not feel we should be thinking about our vaginas all the time! Try different things that are doable and work for you! Thank you and best of luck to those of you on the journey to healthier life!
