Brilliant, but not for me.
The cymbal mutes do exactly what they say, they mute your cymbals, however for me I don't like them overall, but they still deserve 4 stars, the reason for this is because they dull the cymbal completely, there's no ring or ding or anything, its just a flat sound. But for those looking to practice these mute your cymbals by about 70% and work well, just tricky to get on at first.

Better Than The Rubber Type Ones.
Good quality & value for money pack product, make sure just to fold the Cymbomute Strap all the way round before putting on the cymbal, makes the process easier when attaching it on. This product does work and yes it won't sound like anything like the original sound but yes it does mute it and also having it just round the edge of your cymbals you can use the tip of the drumsticks to still get some effect when using the rhythm/bell part of it.

Awesome
These do exactly what they say they do: mute your cymbals while allowing you to play them as though they weren't. Fiddly to put on but after a day or two the groove naturally forms and they're a doddle to attach.I highly recommend these over other cymbal mutes.

Great idea
Very effective sound reduction. Hi-hat continues to operate with open/closed variation in sound albeit at a suitably quiet level. Easy to fit to cymbals.

They Work! Simple.
I've been using Cymbomutes for a while, and they work great!Once you've got the hang of stretching them around your cymbals, they really do muffle the sound very effectively. My crash cymbal now gives a neighbour pleasing "donk", while the ride feels totally normal to play despite being a fraction of the volume. On the hi hat you only need a cymbomute for the top cymbal, the pedal chick sound is replaced by a nice "thud", and when played with a stick you get a nice quiet "tick".I'm considering ordering for my splash cymbal and china, even though I don't use them all the time.On the whole a great product, like I said, they work.

Brilliant product
Cymbomute do exactly what they say on the tin! They are super easy to put on the cymbals (if you have the right size and if you fold before you put them on)! They mute the cymbols wonderfully and you get the feel when you play! The only thing is, is that you can't play too hard because you feel like they will brake easily but that's all just put the cymbol on more of a tilt and they'd be fine!So overall excellent for the money!!!Best of luck for the cymbomutes!

A must for quiet home practice
Practicing acoustic drums at home loudness can be a problem. There are various drum and cymbal mutes available that vary in results. Evans sound off are fine for your drums but for cymbals although they do the job of reducing loudness you have the problem of hitting the correct part and the feeling you are hitting rubber pads and not getting a cymbal sound. Cymbomute is the best solution I've found for my cymbals. I very ingenious idea of a piece of elastic type material that goes around the outside edge of your cymbal which leaves the majority of the cymbal exposed. I've tested mine extensively on my 14" hi-hats and the volume is reduced by 50 or 60%, certainly to a more acceptable noise level. The good thing is you still get a tick when playing closed and an open sound when playing open which makes practicing much better as you can play complex closed/open patterns and still hear the different sounds. Crash and ride cymbals you can still play the bell. Overall, Cymbomute is the best solution I've found for quieter acoustic drum practice in the home or bedroom and I highly recommend them. I got the 4 pack consisting of 14", 16",18" and 20".
