I bought this today for when I'm too lazy to get the gas hob out.I'm very increased with it. A single boil takes me power station from 100% to 80% (allpowers r600)It has a 3 pin plug. Boils in about 5 minutes.It's a great niche product for us van lifers. Small enough to store away easily too :)

I spent HOURS looking for the right kettle for my car and a big concern I had, was that the on/off button, and the lead would be in the right place so that the kettle could comfortably sit in my car cup holder whilst being plugged in with the button accessible, and without being affected by the cup holder case. I had concerns about this as cars/driving/hot water/electric/space could have risks. I was soooo pleased with this and so glad I didn't order the cheaper ones with questionable reviews. The reason it all works is that the button is in a good place, the cable doesn't present any problems in my (average sized) cup holder and it's 'just' the right size.Also, having used it many times there's NO metallic taste to the water after. Just make sure to give it a good wipe as I have hard water and scales will start to build up quite quickly. Would definitely recommend this product. You'll get a good cup and a half or two small cups of hot water out of it, and I wouldn't expect more out of a car kettle - I didn't want a big huge one. Overall thrilled to have this and really glad to have it as you just don't know what can happen whilst driving in the winter and it encourages me to drink more - I like hot drinks.

Was staying in a hotel without a kettle- this was so useful for that first morning cup of coffee. Easy to use and boiled surprisingly quickly. Will definitely be accompanying me on future trips.

We bought this to take on holiday, as the hotel didn't provide hot drink making facilities. So I chose one with a lower wattage, so as not to overload any electric socket we might plug it into.It worked very well throughout the week.Note. 1) Make sure that the stopper is clear from the steam vent before switching it on. Otherwise it will be popped out with a bang!2) Do not put yourhand over the vent while it is still very hot. (Like you wouldn't over a kettle's spout).3) Take the lid off to pour. The body does stay quiet cool.You get about 2 3/4 full mug fulls per pot.I notice that some people complain it turns itself on after it has already bolied. If they had read the instructions, they would see that is what it is designed to do. So just unplug it once you have used it.Noise level is quiet. We put it on a paper back as direct on the table was noisy.

Really cheap quality and it leaks

I purchased this product recently, and it is a very good portable kettle. It is easy to use, and heats up water in three minutes. If you want water to be boiling then it takes six minutes. It has a plug, so it is good for travelling. It also has a one year guarantee. I would definitely purchase this again. It is also very quiet, unlike a traditional kettle and produces less steam. I also like the mint green colour. It is the size of a travel cup, but just a bit bigger.

I purchased this item as a perfect option to take away on a trip where the hotel doesn’t have a kettle in the room as it doubles up as a kettle and cupThe first time I used it the item worked flawlessly, unfortunately every use after that it wouldn’t automatically switch off once it had finished boiling, so would continue to boil resulting in the water spilling out everywhere.The only way you could use it safely would be to ensure you’re next to it as it comes to a boil so you can quickly turn it off at the mains to prevent it from over boiling.If they could fix that very Important issue it would be a fantastic item, but for now I’ll revert back to taking a standalone travel kettle & separate mug on future trips

Excellent little kettle/mug. No issues with it turning off as some reviews said. Didn't take long to boil. Would recommend.
