Dog vs human. Dog faces mammoth fail.
Had enough of dog taking us for a walk. We tried various training techniques and got pro advice but dog is smart and wasn't going to be manipulated at walkies time. We tried various similar face harness and lead systems, some similar ideas e.g. Halti without good or lasting success. Only thing any of them did was burn a hole in our pockets. The halti worked for a little while but canny dog worked out how to dupe us and scrape it off his face along the floor/wall/bench whenever we dropped our guard (and lead). Was really embarrassing having a dog looking as if it was having a fit scraping around on the floor whilst we tried to regain control. It was also really embarrassing having dog collapse in a big unnatural heap in public areas and refuse to move. This one though, he ain't getting quite so much success with! But we are, it's so good to be back in control. Thanks to the random dog walker we passed pleasantries with, for recommending this product to us.It feels good not having to do our walks at 15mph with our arms stretched better than a mediaeval torture device and our shoulders permanently semi dislocated. And dog doesn't get to hit the ground, we have full control.Dog loses. Sorry dog. Well, no, not really sorry. More like smug.

Absolutely different dog since we've bought this collar
My pup was awful pulling on the lead and hurting my shoulders. It was really unpleasant taking her for a walk. I researched the figure of 8 leads but read some reviews about them cutting under the chin which I wasn't happy about. I then found the Canny Collar which is approved by the guide dog association. When we first put it on she hated it as it was so different. We decided to put it on a few times for her to get used in the house (maybe twice) then a short walk in the garden before we ventured out. Honestly it has changed my life. No more pulling and walks lovely next to me or on a longer lead without pulling. Within a day she was walking better and by day two an absolute different dog. Best £18 I've spent. It's amazing how much better she is. I now enjoy our walks together and my shoulder is no longer painful from the pulling. My husband walked her today and I know he thought I was exaggerating the difference. He came back gobsmacked. She doesn't even pull out the door anymore. She's like a different dog. I can't recommend this collar enough.

Human loves it!
My human bought this for me because she said I pull too much and she couldn't control me. It's not my fault the world smells so good and she walks soooo slow!I do try to avoid her putting it on me but I have to let her in the end otherwise I wouldn't get out. I did have a protest nap on the pavement the first time I had it on and I attempted several back flips to get it off but that didn't work. Occasionally if she's not looking and I let it get loose, I can pull it off my nose but she soon spots me!Now I've realised that it is actually nicer not to pull my human along, she was getting terribly worked up walking me and was forever apologising to people even though I was only saying hello to them! Now we have nice pleasant walks and my human is happier.I am hoping that if I keep walking nicely without pulling my human, she will switch back to my normal collar soon.Fraser the Hound x LabPS. my human says she got me a size 3 because, even though I'm huge, I have a skinny hound head!

A big improvement
So, for the last 3 and a half years we've been through multiple harnesses, different leads etc and whilst some have worked better than others there always seems to be a downside. We got a figure of 8 lead which was the best before this one, until our Sprocker started leaning into heavily and ended up snorting like a pig due to the pressure it then exerted on her nose...We bought a harness and although initially it seemed to improve things, she started tanking. So the Canny Collar is a big improvement as she hasn't made any pig sounds.. yet. She does bounce like a Kangaroo on it periodically and my older children find this very difficult to put up with but my husband has taken her out on it a few times too and if you ignore this and allow more slack in the lead, it means she can't constantly do it, generally she walks very nicely. I'd not been able to walk her as she kept pulling on my arm so much I had pain through my shoulders but with this I have no pain in my shoulders... All we need is for her to drop the kangaroo impressions and it'll be perfect.

It works!
This collar definitely works! I had trouble with my rottweiler pulling and trying to chase other dogs but this corrected the pulling straight away as I have all control over him. Took about 20 mins to try and get it on him the first time, now after a couple days he doesn't put up resistance to it. He tried to pull it off his nose a few times with his paws while out walking but just pull on the lead and his head comes up and he'll walk fine. Honestly if your your dog pulls or has predator instinct and it's stopping you walking him, get this, you'll be amazed at how much you can control him with. Keep the leash short so he's right beside you. It came off his nose a couple times at start when he was smelling as I didn't have it tight enough. Make sure it's tight around his neck, 2 fingers is plenty of room. Fantastic product wish I had of got it when I just started walking him but my walks now are very enjoyable.

Puts pleasure back in to walks
It's normally a chore to walk my gsd x and when I get him my back and shoulders ache he pulls so much. Then my Canny Collar arrived, as soon as I tried it on him he lay down. I have just got back from a test run with the collar and OMG it was a joy to be out with him, at points the lead was even a little slack, he did paw at it a bit but I'm sure he will soon get used to it if it means he now gets more frequent/longer walks. Now I'm considering getting my Jack Russell a Canny to see if it can work its magic with her.
