Cliont 12" Genuine Leather Dog Short Leash Lead Heavy Duty for Large Dog with Stainless Steel Buffer Shock Spring (2.5x 50(cm), Black)

A strong lead and the spring is a lot nicer than the leads with the elastic "bungie" style buffer at the end, which a big dog can easily pull through as they offer little resistance. Our 10 month old GSD Oscar is 40kg (even though he doesn't look it in this photo) and he will pull with excitement when he sees people and other dogs close by. I'm pairing this lead with my double ended halti lead set at 3ft which is what I normally use. I swap to my halti when I want to give him a toilet break as otherwise you're a bit too close for comfort! Using shorter leads has helped prevent him gain any momentum when he gets excited and the spring on this makes it easier on my arm but it is still firm enough to use my half check collar correctly. The only small negatives I have are that I wish it was a couple of inches longer and that the leather handle feels a bit slippery when your hand is wet. If I give my boy a treat I need to dry his slobber off my hand! I've only been using this for a few days so if I run into any issues with the build quality I'll update my review.

It was extremely comfortable on the hand, which was a bonus as my dog pulls like a train and I needed a short lead that would enable me to keep him closer to heel, as with longer leads I tended to lose my balance (sometimes) because he had the advantage of a head start, so to speak. I found the quality to be first class, the weight looked to be just perfect, in that my dog was aware he had a lead on, which meant that he tended to pay more attention to when it tightened knowing that he needed to slow so that it (the choke collar) was loose. I feel that with this lead I will eventually get my dog to walk nicely to heel... fingers crossed as all other types of lead and harness had absolutely no effect on him at all. My first walk using this new lead today was a pleasure, and that is not something I would say for most of my dog walks... So if you are hesitating, don't you will not be disappointed with this lead. I personally feel that it is perfect for dogs over say 20 kilo in weight, anything lighter and it may prove to be too heavy.

The short leash is of good strong quality and durability. Lovely.

Good strong lead for strong dogs like mine a have a German shepherd and a strong black Labrador that like to try and pull both are young that's why so if ring lead can hurt hand but these don't and you got dog close was advised by vets to try these leads and does help.

Very good quality lead and unlike other leather leads that I have purchased it is very comfortable to hold - doesn't cut into your hand at all - recommended

Rubbish, within a week the leather around the handle had unstitched leaving me with the inner showing. The actual construction is ok but the fit and finish of the handle is terribly shoddy
