Still deciding
I tried to love this product but just can’t get there yet. It’s easy to cook the egg, but liking my eggs pretty runny, it’s difficult to remove the egg from the bag. Their solution is to cook it longer..causing it to no longer have the texture I prefer. The egg doesn’t come out in that lovely little oval shape. It’s a big of a blob which doesn’t affect the taste obviously, but isn’t very pretty on a plate. It’s just ok..

Hopeful but wanting
They work, but not as I expected. I am elderly and I had difficulty opening the pouch, I wish it had a tab. Good quality material, paper, like coffee filter. Dropping them in the water requires some experience, so the bags close properly. And I experienced difficulty getting the egg out of the pouch, didn't just slide out, I had to shake it loose. I like the quality and the concept, I wish I could get them to work as well as the video. I'm just not so capable. Right now, I prefer the OXO Silicone Egg Poachers. I would like the Poachies to work, I like the quality and concept, I will try now and then, maybe I'll get better at it.

So great!!
I was a little hesitant after I read one bad review that said the egg came out of the bag when putting in the pan of water. I just made 4 poached eggs this morning and it couldn't have been easier, I had NO problem with the eggs coming out of the bags. I just carefully placed the bags in the water with the open part facing up and they didn't fall over or anything. One thing I was not sure of the cooking time so I did it for 4 1/2 minutes and I think I could of cooked them for about a minute more. But so easy and I am so glad I purchased this product.

Do the job
Eggs don't look great but these work fine and help when needing to cook 10 at a time. (Eggs Benedict for family of 5)Right after I first tried these I discovered my Hamilton Beach (boiled) egg cooker also made poached eggs! I hadn't used it in over a year before I started making Eggs Benedict. It makes beautiful PERFECT poached eggs! But only 3 at a time.

Crazy enough, they really work as advertised!
40 years of cooking under my belt and I finally mastered the poached egg. Who knew it could be this easy?!

If you like poached eggs, you must have these
I love poached eggs and have struggled for years to try to cook them. Even got one of those pans with egg wells (OK but not really poaching as you have to coat the wells with butter). These Poachie bags are the greatest! Easy to use, put in an egg, set it into the water, time to your desired doneness, remove the bag (I use tongs) and slide out like a dream. I've already ordered two more packages!

Superb - at last!
After using around 80 of these, I was unsure whether to order more, as they did need to be turned while cooking, took a lot longer to cook and even then sometimes had a slightly runny white. Then I found a trick. Put the poachie in the pan, wait a couple of seconds for the egg to begin to set, then lay the back of a fork against it so that it all stays below the water. The handle, of course, rests nicely on the side of the pan, no trouble. Result - cooked all the way through, as quickly as a 'normal' poached egg, and no turning.I've bought more!

Bags of Fun
We are now on our second bag of Poaching thingies, we like them. There is a certain degree of faffing about when it comes to cracking the egg into the bag, but after that bit it’s fine. The eggs are no worse in shape than if in a spinning, whirling , whirlpool funnel in a pan with vinegar and you don’t have to use a large saucepan, so saving that energy! 100% success in cooking so no food waste either. I suppose the paper thing is wasted but I think the other saves make up for it.We used to use a 60s type egg poacher, you know, those little plastic pots in an aluminium pan with a lid that give your eggs a look of the eyes of a gorgon on heat, staring, staring, a look of milky, empty horror, a melancholy so deep and ancient that you feel like your soul is being ravaged by an invisible force so malevolent that you pray aloud to your god that there will be some remnant of your being left, to be recognised and known once again, you blink and try and avert this terrible gaze, you win and live again…you wipe away your tears and assume colour is returning to your once beautiful face, your demons released your soul will need repair but luckily not a full blown nut and bolt restoration at £75 per hour. Not a good start to an anniversary Eggs Benedict breakfast. So a massive improvement on the 60s poacher previously employed with a lot less room taken up in the kitchen saucepan drawer of wonder.

These do work but ...
I never tire of being amused by reviews that say something doesn't work, when I know for a fact that it does. It is a strange but common phenomenon. So ignore the reviews here that suggest theses pouches don't work. They do, their easy to use and the results are very good. I had to experiment a little on the perfect time for set whites and runny yolk but that was to be expected. However, there are a couple of significant drawbacks:1. At 8p per pouch, especially when you consider the price of a single egg itself, the pouches are expensive - for what are basically just folds of paper2. Some of the pouches are not fully sealed at the bottom so the egg leaks out when you crack it into the pouch, ruining the whole process. It's happened 3 times from 20 pouches so far. Not good considering the aforementioned price.

Bit messy
I can’t poach an egg to save my life so thought I’d get some of these. The only issue I have with them is that they leak from the bottom. I place one of the egg holders in a small cup to steady it and add my egg. A lot of the egg leaks out of the bottom.I’ve waited a while to write the review as I thought perhaps it was just a few dud ones but at least half the pack has done the same. It’s not the end of the word and the eggs turn out fine but just here in mind it’s a little messy.

Life changing
I tried various methods to make poached eggs including the traditional swirling water in the pan, air fryer methods, microwave methods, all complete fails. Decided to buy these bags and perfect poached eggs on first attempt(shown in picture). Yes the bags do leak a little from the bottom, but it does say on the pack that this might happen if your eggs are not 100% fresh. Just use freshest eggs possible and transfer immediately into the pan, if you use a glass to hold the poachie when adding your egg, as per instructions, any leakage is contained in the glass so not an issue. Highly recommend this product.
