WheelGuard closed end bulge acorn style lug nuts are among the best in the industry. Our bulge acorn style nuts are crafted with precisely machined threads to ensure a perfect fit to your vehicle's wheel studs. Manufactured with cold forged steel for dependable strength and durability. These lug nuts feature premium chrome plating with essential layers of copper, nickel, and chrome to provide exceptional strength, beauty, and corrosion resistance. Our lengthy multi-point quality control process ensures that every nut we handle is created with the same love and care as the one before it. WheelGuard lug nuts feature a two-part safety design. Top-part is welded on the base hex part. Uniform chrome plating makes them look just like one-piece nuts. A two-part nut is also referred to as a "safety" nut. Meaning if a stud is too long the top part of the nut will pop off, but the nut will still go to the end and secure the wheel. Whereas a one-piece nut won't and leaves people with a false sense of security that the nut has properly seated even though it isn't. Through our 20+ year experience in manufacturing lug nuts, we observed many cases in which improperly seating of one-piece nuts on longer studs. Many cases resulted in an accident because if nuts are not well seated, wheel will apply a strong shear force on the studs and eventually cut them off, instead of a pulling force that studs are designed to bear.

Very poor chrome finish
First, the photograph representing the product is very misleading. It shows wheel lug nuts with a very fine chrome finish. When I received the Lugnuts, they were all thrown into a box loosely. It does not require a rocket scientist to understand that is a bad idea. Upon examination, the chrome finish was terrible. Absolutely nothing like the picture represented. Of course allowing the Lugnuts to rub against each other during shipping doesn’t help. I don’t have to install these on my car just to find out six months later that they’re rusting. The chrome finish, if you wanna call it that, is so thin and poorly done they would have no choice but to rust. Other reviews claiming they rusted out in a few months I’m certain are accurate. I promptly closed the box and returned it.

They'll rust after a few months
Purchased based on the reviews and pricing, functionally they worked great. Living and driving in southern California I figured I wouldn't have any issues with rust but 5 months later the lugs are rusted and look awful against my polished aluminum factory wheels. I'll stick to the more reputable brands moving forward.

Look nice, Received 3 less than ordered, seller sent them quickly, though.
Look very nice when new. We'll see how they hold up. Only 4 stars because 3 lugs were missing from the (sealed) package. Seller made it right, though - sent me 3 more lugs right away. I like the fact that they are "safety" lugs in that if the stud on the axle is too long, the end cap will pop off instead of impeding proper tightness. Great idea!

Perfect fit for my steel rims on my 2013 F150
I needed some wheel nuts for my steel winter rims, these are a better fit than attempting to use the ones that matched my summer mag wheels.
