I recently started using the Amazon Basics 12W Smart LED Bulb, and overall, I’m quite impressed with its performance and ease of use.What I Liked:Smart Integration: The bulb connects seamlessly with Alexa and Google Assistant, making it very easy to control through voice commands or the app. Setting schedules and adjusting brightness is super convenient.Bright and Energy-Efficient: The 12W LED gives off great brightness, perfect for any room. It’s energy-efficient, so I don’t have to worry about high power consumption.Easy Setup: The setup process was simple, and connecting it to Wi-Fi was straightforward.Customizable Lighting: The ability to adjust the color temperature (warm to cool) is a nice touch, allowing me to set the right mood for different times of day.

Works fine qhwn connected to wifi and controlled through mobile and alexa/ echo devices ..It's convenient to change switch on/ off, color, brightness through alexa voice commands..Only flaw, as with other smart bulbs is that the scheduler/ timer doesn't work when you switch off the wifi router .. So not very useful/ practical during night time and times when you are not at home for long times when many prefer to switch off their wifi routers .. This is in contrast to smart plugs which I have that work perfectly fine even when wifi is off .

I bought this bulb on 16 Jul 23 and was working fine. Price was reasonable. After 4 to 6 months it started malfunctioning. Suddenly brightness started reducing and started flickering. Couple of times called amazon customer care and got contact number to claim the warranty, but unfortunately the multiple numbers provided were wrong. Sincere advise not to go for any Amazon basics products. If product bought is working fine you will find any difference, but it is not working properly, you will repent.Again, i called Customer Care, this time i got the right number, one of the executive asked me to send an email with invoice copy and video of the bulb.It is funny that i cannot keep waiting to make video till starts reducing the brightness or flickering as it is not constant. I explained the same to the executive but she is stubborn like kid and asking to make a video and send it for the warranty claim.Why all these headache, just avoid amazon basics products to avoid all this nonsense.Later, got Gift Card of 399 Rupees not replacement or repairing the bulb.

I liked the bulb. it is bright and gives good amount of luminosity. Just go for it!

I will start with the CONS because that outweigh all the good stuff this product offers.CONS:1. The bulb went offline within 15 days of purchase. And after that, it has been going offline frequently. Reconnecting is a nightmare. Even after following the entire textbook process as per the instructions it used to take forever to connect and later just stopped working.2. The Warranty support is terrible. I reached AmazonBrands by email and shared my issues. They wanted a video of the issue!! You can imagine what exactly one would see when the bulb is dead and not connecting! Anyway, I sent them a video of the bulb attached to the socket and also replaced it with a normal (non-smart) LED bulb which worked instantly. So it was not the socket and of course not my network or app, because other devices (including another AmazonBasics smart LED bulb) work perfectly.The team informed me that they would get back to me with a solution in 10 working days, but there has been no response from them.So the point is that if the bulb is working fine then everything is good, but just in case you need warranty support then you are stranded.Now the PROS-The build quality of the bulb is good.- The 12 W version is quite bright at 100%- I am not at all a fan of the multi-color but if you like that then yes you can control colors via the app.- It was not difficult to pair it with my network (initially).- The best part is that it is supported by the Smart Life app which is already present on my mobile and works with other brands. So there was no need to install another app.- Integration with Google Assistant worked fine.- The bulb is manufactured in India which is a plus point, but if the support is so hopeless then I would prefer a cheaper Chinese option. After all all of them use similar technology and components.CONCLUSION: Overall a good product - yet it should be avoided for its poor warranty.
