Kala Foam Hardcase Soft Shell Tenor Ukulele Case (Uc-T)

This is the first ukulele case I have purchased but I have a violn case. This case is light weight and holds the ukulele. There is a compartment for that will hold a strap and a tuner. Zipper works without sticking. Pleased with the purchase

I purchased this case to protect my Yamaha GL-1. There is plenty of room for the headstock (at least 4" of air gap to the top end of the case), but the fit on the body of the Uke is pretty tight. This case is cut for a slightly different body shape, and it took a little bit of finesse to get the Uke to fit in the case. I believe the foam will compress over time and this will become easier to get in and out, but brand new, it is VERY tight. There's a velcro strap to hold the neck, but I don't need it for the GL-1; there's no way it's going to move around!The lining is very soft and plush, what you would expect from a quality guitar case. There is a large internal compartment for tuners, strings, capos and the like. This compartment is larger than I expected it to be, and I'm pleased. There is also a large pocket on the outside for extra stuff. This pocket isn't big enough for sheet music, but could hold small mic's and cables, or other gear. This pocket could actually be better, but.. it's a pocket.The zippers are crap, though. Out of the box, one of the zipper pulls on this case was missing, and they feel pretty delicate. I'm going to replace these pulls with small keyrings. The lid could also open just a hair wider, so that it would stay open when opened.Overall, the case seems sturdy enough to protect the Uke against damage. I'd have no qualms about throwing this in the trunk of a car or having a small child trip and fall on it.

This is a well built case with a plush interior. It has a nice compartment for storing electronic tuners, capos or extra strings. More expensive and better than a gig bag and cheaper but not as protective as a hard shell case.The way I see it, gig bags are for you or your most trusted friends to use to transport your instrument. This case is for all the above and a few rascals that might not fully appreciate how fragile some instruments are. Finally, a hard shell case is for all the above plus the slack-jawed, knuckle dragging guys from the county work release program.Choose wisely.

At first, I thought I had received the wrong case. I’m sill not sure. It doesn’t say Kala on it. I was surprised at how light it was. It’s much easier to carry. The plastic zipper worries me some, but so far it works fine. The interior pocket is large, which is nice for carrying picks and a tuner. However, it doesn’t close tight, so my picks slip out. I have to put them in a small bag to keep them inside the pocket. It seems sturdy. The material on the outside is like what a backpack is made of usually. I don’t think I’d use it on a plane, but for everything else, it works good.

I received a different case for Christmas (which I'd requested) that didn't fit my uke because of the strap button. I ordered this case instead and it is perfect! Lots of extra room so if you have a larger Tenor uke or a button strap, it still fits perfectly. But, because of all the foam and whatnot, I still feel that my uke is very safe.Love it!

Really great, except for the fact that it is missing a Velcro strap to hold the uke in place when closed and carrying. It still keeps it safe but my uke moves around a bit and it makes some noise. Others I have used have had that Velcro strap and it is better. But other than that, this is a great sturdy case

There are few hard foam tenor ukulele cases readily available on-line in Canada. We appear to be a second string destination for on-line product sellers. However, this product was the type of case that I was looking for - balance between protection and weight - better than a padded gear bad for protection and lighter than wooden or plastic hard cases (and pocket for music sheets). If it were about 50% less money, then it would be value for money. The build quality outside is good but the gluing of fabric and internals is a bit sloppy quality control. The biggest frustration with this and many other products source through the Canadian portal is the expensive delivery costs - it came quickly but at an unnegotiated price. Overall, it is "meh" but will keep and certainly use.

This is a very well crafted and designed case. It is a hard-soft case that safely holds your tenor ukulele without worry. It is larger than other cases but it also offers greater protection and more storage capacity for other items. Looks great and I highly recommend.

Wasn't sure what quality to expect, but turned out to be very well-made, durable and perfect for transporting. A bit pricier than other advertised products but well worth it.
