Cheap but solid and does the job
This level works well and is very useful for ensuring a flat horizon in landscape photos or true verticals in architectural shots. It mounts on the hotshoe in two different orientations depending on which axes you want to level (left-right, front-back, top-bottom).It has two bubbles so it can do any two out of three. The only downside is that on one of my cameras its a really tight squeeze to fit and even harder to get it off again. It can be done but its not easy - hence only 4 stars. If you are shooting without a tripod or your tripod doesn't have a level this is a fantastic, cheap way to get things plumb.

I'd say the moulding residue at the back is the most annoying thing. In the attached images the camera is ...
In the most likely orientation in the hotshoe there's a moulding error on the face facing you. This means it's only really clear from the top. Both bubbles are level for the orientation they're most likely to be used in, but not in their other orientation. It's not going to stop me using it. I'd say the moulding residue at the back is the most annoying thing. In the attached images the camera is perfectly level. Guidelines were lined up with a meter length spirit level. It's my phone that wasn't level.

A must have gadget for any keen photographers.
Seen another photographer with one of these while i was trying to take a panoramic photo half way up a hill. I do have a small spirit level on the top of my tripod, but it is very small and is difficult to see at a quick glance. What a difference this has made to taking panoramas! Slides into the hotshoe nice and snug, and can be used in both portrait and landscape orientation. Takes up very little space in the camera bag, so travels with me everywhere i go. Highly recommend this little item.

Excellent kit but, oh the postal cost!
Arrived before expected, well packaged and therefore in perfect condition.Price advertised attracted me to purchase this item, which seemed quite low for such an item. However the postal charge was extortionate for something of this size and weight. The overall cost I was willing to pay, which I didn't think was over the top.So, set a realistic price to obtain a sensible profit rather than charging a ridiculous cost for postage. The four stars is because it's a very good piece of kit. The postal charge prevented a five star rating.

The best things come in small packages!
I use a fairly hefty Canon XL H1 video camera on a heavy duty tripod when filming sports meetings (rugby). The tripod does have a small spirit level but, with the camera mounted, it is next too impossible to see. This little gem solves the problem by sitting on the hot shoe mount and is clearly visible from any angle.Once leveled I then lock down the tripod head and attach my monitor or other accessories knowing full well all is as it should be.Excellent little device.

A great little gadget
Whilst many cameras have a display to help to level them off, this is a lot more useful. If like me, you like to set up you camera on a tripod and take some pictures or do a video with you panning across the horizon, you will soon find that the spirit levels on a tripod and the display on the camera are not always enough.

Level for use on tripod.
This is an inexpensive spirit level for use with DSLR, but It might have got five stars, but for one small glitch, it fits into the flash shoe holder, but impedes the use of the camera flash, by obstructing it, otherwise very useful.

Perfect - just what is needed if your tripod doesn't have one!
I bought this as my existing tripod didn't have a spirit level, but I wasn't expecting too much as it was so cheap. What a pleasant surprise it was then, when I actually received it and tried it out. It works perfectly, allowing me to ensure that my cameras are perfectly level when I need them to be, with the minimum of fuss.If you need accuracy when setting up your tripod for photographs, then this is just what you need.
