Snowdonia Extra Mature Cheddar 3kg

None of the commercial Cheddars widely available in supermarkets can shake a stick at this one, it really is a fantastic quality, strong, rugged, crumbly cheddar with an amazing texture and flavour.Definitely "eating quality" (Can and will be consumed happily on its own) cheddar. If you are a fan of strong, genuine cheddar then you cannot go wrong with this one.I think that the price for this quality of cheddar is very fair and it can also be shipped to Spain, which makes me extraordinarily happy since the selection of cheddar here is understandably limited.

EDIT: I have just discovered that it's GBP55.00 (inc P&P) direct from Snowdonia.Still a fantastic cheese, just buy it direct!A great cheese - wonderful flavour, crumbly, a huge hit with everyone who tasted it!Well packaged for transport.Good value: I bought it and shared with friends.If you're having a party, this would be ideal.The only thing I'd point out: It comes wrapped in black wax which is very easily removed - however, if you cut down through the wax and through the cheese, you end up with tiny black streaks in the cheese :-)

This cheese is brilliant, but just a warning to make sure the cheese is delivered in a refridgerated condition. I had one delivered last month in the hot weather by the royal mail, it arrived in a mess! A fatty liquid had leaked out of the cheese, I could not use this for the wedding I had bought it for although it did still taste good.
