Prairie Rugs Wool/Cotton 5x8 Wool dhurrie Ruby

So far, this seems to be a decent rug that is heavy and not flimsy. I love the color and it seems well made. I haven't washed it yet, so I am hopeful it will hold up in the wash. I like the fact that it's 100% cotton. It has a natural, handmade look. When I took it out of the box, my husband actually said, Wow, that looks like a nice rug. It is not usual for my husband to comment on household goods, especially those arriving in an Amazon box as they are a daily occurence, so for him to take notice of this rug should be a testimony in itself.

I bought the "ivory" color, but it is light tan as pictured on Amazon , not ivory or off-white. The light tan is the color I wanted so the color was fine, but it was discolored in several areas and the weave was also coming out. I thought the discoloration was due to color gradations, but when I washed it, all of the stains came out, but so did the weave. It looks older now then some of the rugs I have had for 15 years. I don't think it will last for another wash. I should have returned it and exchanged it for a new one, because I'm sure the one I received was previously used and that's why it was so stained.

The rug I received was not the rug I ordered. I ordered the blue rug ("Marine") but got a deep red one. So, I'm not happy about the transaction but I also don't have the time and energy at this time of year to return it for the correct color so I'm keeping it to use for the laundry area in the basement. The quality seems to be pretty good and it is the size I ordered but I needed the rug for my blue kitchen, not my basement.

I adore this rug! Color is warm, weave is snug, texture is pleasing, look is sophisticated yet earthy, and it has a very faint natural-materials smell, not that vile odor that the plasticky -yrene items have! Color (sand) is true to the photo. Using it inside the sliding glass door leading to the back deck to catch bird seed, leaf debris, and dirt. Can be swept. Would vacuum without the beater bar. Haven't tried washing it.

Wonderful quality. However, the gold rug I ordered is not gold, it's got pink & orange in it (about 30% of it is the alternate colors). We have to return it. Very disappointed, we love the quality of it but it just won't work with the other colors in it. We love the quality so much we might try the desert sand color.

Honestly, the color and quality of the fabric used in this rug is beautiful. Thank you Prairie Rugs for making such a lovely product. My only wish is that it was available in other sizes in the colors I need.

I have had two of these for a few months now. You need to be careful when vacuuming to not have your vacuum too low of a setting as it will pull some strands (my fault). I love the quality and slight variations in color. The color is spot on and matched my wing back chairs. Will have to see how it washed in the spring.

The rug arrived in time and it really nice. Couple of blue dye stains but it made by hsnd so it's to be expected. The stains are small and not really noticeable. Love that cream color and a great feel under my feet. Great buy.
