Beast of a heating mat
This is one of the only heating mats that did the job every time. The large area means you can spread it throughout your tent in a few ways. If you suffer from cold winters throw this up over a circulating fan and it'll boost up the heat. If you roll this up and plug it in it gets at least 150F I haven't measured with a heat gun but the bitch can get hot enough to burn hands or melt through itself. The only flaw is that it uses a flimsy plastic that gets soft/flexible when warm, but is brittle at all other times.

Works well
I have a number of Hydrofarm mats - this is my first from Dirt Genius. The construction is pretty much the same as the Hydrofarm mats and so far it is working well. If it passes the test of time I would buy more Dirt Genius mats as they are a good deal less expensive.

Great for starting a lot of seeds
Four full size (11x22) seed starter trays can fit on this one mat. If you start a lot of seeds (like us) you'll do better with this one large mat instead of four single ones. We have it plugged into a thermostat controller that has four outlets. Four mats to cover this area would consume all the outlets, this mat uses one, freeing up three to use for other warming mats. Also, you'll save about 20%

Getting an early start on things
Works fine. Definitely helped getting germination faster. I use in an outdoor greenhouse that is not heated so during the cool late winter and early spring it made a difference. Helps to cover the starts too.

Works as described.
Works as described. I used it last spring to help my corn and tomato seedlings get a head start, in retrospect corn really doesn't require it as it grows pretty much anywhere. Will use again for my chilis.

it works
I am using it for a short term germination experiment. It is working after three weeks with no apparent problems. It is big enough for most of my needs with plants, both as experimental ecology and as a way to encourage the germination of warm season seeds such as peppers.

Worked great
Wrinkled from storage in box, Overnight heating at 85 weighted flattened it. Has worked well. I have it in a chilly room so output is below needed when temp differential is greater than 17 degrees to ambient. I knew that limitation when I got it so I have no complaint.

does the job!
only started to use this but seems to do the job in very cold greenhouse. will likely get a second one if it stands up this year.
