Brilliant!
Ok, and to cut a long story short, I have had a couple of tunes/songs relentlessly going through my mind whilst engaged on household tasks assigned by my good lady, and to be frank , they have been driving me nuts! So, in the interests of my own sanity, I dutifully headed to iTunes to download said tunes/songs, which would have set me back approximately a fiver. However, turning to Amazon, to my utter delight I found this little gem of a double cd, which not only has the tunes driving me mad, but also a heap of other tunes/songs which have taken me right back to my happy childhood. Ok, this double cd does not have absolutely all of the tunes/ songs I can remember as a child, but it still has a very good selection, and I can always download any omissions as and when I need to.By the way the two pieces that were driving me barmy were William Tell and Robin Hood.Highly recommended.

Comprehensive Collection of 50s and 60s TV Themes.
A comprehensive collection of TV themes covering two decades. For me the best tracks are the ones which sound identical to the TV versions thankfully there are several here, William Tell, Fireball, No Hiding Place, Steptoe and Son etc. There are the inevitable cover versions, but some of these are decent versions, Route 66, Sir Francis Drake, Coronation Street etc. There are some mysteries, why is there only an instrumental version of Supercar and not the song we heard on the series? Why does 77 Sunset Strip have only the chorus and not the verses of the theme song? Most of these themes have been issued on other collections, however as TV theme collections go this is one of the better compilations.

Very good.
All the old TV themes are there and sound as they should.

Tv Themes
The CD arrived in working order and plays well. It is reminder of how music sounded during those times and gives us an insight into how theme, backing and instrumental music is formed.

A album that reawakens the mind
31 hits out of 40 tracks.William Tell, Robin Hood, Wyatt Earp, Fireball XL-5I remembered the lyrics, much to my surprise, 55 years later. Those were the days when children's hour was really worth watching,an experience that expanded ones imagination. Also includes Sucu Sucu and the Ballad of Jed Clampett. All tracks are well made and appear original.

Nice compilation of long forgotten TV Themes
Nice compilation of long forgotten TV Themes.Brief sleeve notes but never the less informative. All you need now are the ATV chimes,a continuity announcer and a fuzzy 625 lines black and white set.
