It actually works?
Oyen is a company you almost definitely haven't heard of. However, I bought this 1TB USB Drive to backup all my important irreplaceable files to keep on my keyring. The Drive is a little bigger than expected but it does have a loop and is made of out aluminum for durability. Average transfer speed on a USB 3.0 slot was around 40MB/S. That is in 'safe' mode and not 'speed' mode. So it's allegedly 1050mbs write speed is irrelevant.I nearly completely filled the drive after backing up all my files onto it. It didn't fail in writing and was available to read on other computers. So hurray. So the 1TB drive does work. It should work for 110 dollars I paid for it. Do NOT buy cheap 1tb USB drives. If it is under 80 dollars, it is CERTAINLY a chinese scam/cash grab. I made that mistake once with a 34 dollar 1TB USB Drive. One weird note: For some reason this drive would NOT work on my laptop USB slots. It would 'beep' that a new device was detected but the drive refused to read (didnt even appear in disk management tool). I couldn't fix it. Also, the magnet that holds the cap on is not very powerful, probably would of went with a clip for the cap but that is just me. That is why I docked it one star.

A Serious Upgrade
It can be formatted into many separate drive spaces... which is impossible with most regular flash drives. It's somewhat larger than other flash drives, but it comes with lots of space, and appears much more reliable for constant use. It's definitely an SSD drive that's easy to take with you.As for speed... don't be disappointed when you start finding out that it's probably going to meet those high manufacturer claims under only the best conditions. But it's by far faster than those regular flash drives out there. And the saving of wait around time is enormous when you just want to move your files quickly and get going. This, and a couple of its' competitors out there are finally entering the realm of what many of us have thought for years as to what a flash drive should be... it's faster, convenient, decent through a sturdy build, and just plug it directly into a port without the need of a special cable that you'll have to carry around as well - and so this one makes connecting it a simple task.Expensive, but worth it. And in my opinion - this is the better choice in what's currently available to choose from out there.

This is an NVME M.2 Gen3 x4 SSD
Well, being me I had to take it apart to find out what kind of SSD it is.It is like having a fully blown 2TB hard drive in the palm of your hand. You can create multiple partitions if needed. Very fast, reliable and in aluminum enclosure that works as a heat sink. This is an NMVE M.2 Gen3 x4 SSD stick mounted on top of an USB adapter. I hope this gives an idea especially to those, who are interested in what kind of hardware that is. I have it all back together and it works like a champ. This is probably one of the fastest flash drives available on the market as of today with transfer speeds of up to 1GB a sec! That is 1000 Megabytes a second!I have been using an external 3.5ā 2TB hard drive that had all of my stuff on it now I fit all of it in the palm of my hand. This drive is little larger than flash drive. Since it is all aluminum construction it is also heavier, feels high quality and it is high quality. USB plug feels very sturdy, not as some flash drives have where it wiggles and feels like plug will break off when plugging into the computer, this one is very solid piece.Iām very happy with that purchase. This being and SSD drive mounted on usb adapter also makes it upgradeable. You can install a higher capacity ssd inside this drive if you wish. It feel like this will last a very long time.

Works Great!
Super fast, Small, and Great Build Quality.I got the 2TB drive, I was nervous about spending $200 on an external drive but I'm very happy with this device. It feels super premium and the whole thing is metal with a handy magnetic cap (also metal). I was able to reach the advertised speeds of 1050mbps on my Thunderbolt 3 port (AMD motherboard btw) and a consistent 400mbps on my Case's USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. My USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports were weird though, sometimes over 1000mbps but sometimes only 40 for no obvious reason (not related to heat, I'm assuming it's just a driver issue with my PC but couldn't find a fix). The outside of the drive can get hot but that just means it's doing a good job of cooling the inside and I ran into zero throttling issues.Z
