SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 I9500 I9505 CHARGING PORT WITH MIC ETC FLEX CABLE USB PORT FLEX

Installed and then the back button would not work. Screen would flash on and off when charging and there was no signal when trying to call.I re-installed the old part, as it was only the usb charge port that did not work, and the old part worked fine without all the oddities the new part created.I'll try a replacement from the same Company but if it doesn't work then I'll have to get it elsewhere. I'll be happy to give a good review if the part works but the part they sent me not only looks like it fell off the back of a lorry but looks to have been run over by it as well.

Superbly efficient service. Received the part next day after ordering, even though Amazon themselves quoted an expected delivery of 3 to 5 days!OK, it's not the most recent revision of this part (I got rev19 n old one was 25) but it does the job. Received item from MENKO TELEKOM. Was sent a REV19. Does not work properly with my I9505. Fine, except that it makes autorotate 180 degrees out of sync so screens are upside down. Original was REV25. How am I supposed to know what was to be sent? If I pop the old one back then it works fine again. Where is the useful product info to inform me of any potential issues between model types. Not happy.

Received rev 25, spot on item and timely item as the original part had a speaker contact dead on it as well.

Although this product was advertised as a replacement charging port for Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505, it was a different shape to the original (& the advertised picture!) & did not work. I contacted the seller who very promptly & kindly refunded my money. I then ordered a "Brand new USB Charging Dock Port Flex Cable with Mic for Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 - REV25" [I think, from the same seller] which works perfectly.

I'm not sure how it happened but my phone stopped charging when plugged in and didn't recognise the charger at all, after some digging on tech forums it seemed that this was the part causing the trouble. Its quite easy to fit, this youtube video serves as quite a comprehensive walkthrough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snCH8H3NCMA. note that if you do plan to replace this part you will need a 00 Phillips screwdriver, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000X29D80, something like this. the part I received from Menko Telecom was the rev 25 model and fitted my I9505, I did have to order this product twice because the first one I received had a broken temperature sensor (for a Li-Ion battery to charge its temperature must be greater than ~5 degrees Celsius, the battery temperature sensor was convinced that my workspace was colder than this so refused to charge).

Great product, works well. I do think you would need to be a bit tech minded or able to persevere with fiddly tasks. Only downside is that I'm in the UK and needed this asap, it wasn't clear it was coming overseas until I purchased it, but overall happy to recommend it.
